  5. @Edy, congratulations on three days quit I'm really sorry about your brother and @KEL, I'm sorry you lost your brother to addiction too. The best way to honor them is to kick your addiction to the curb and take control of your life once again. You both are doing great As far as missing a "friend" Edy, it's a totally normal feeling when we quit. They were with us through everything, literally. Unfortunately they weren't there to sooth us even though we thought they were. They were there to satisfy our drug addiction to nicotine and the other 1000's of chemicals that are in cigarettes! No thanks! And believe me as you get farther into your quit you will see it too.....

  18. Colleen Quit Date: 6/2/13 Posted June 16, 2015 How do you reward yourself for not smoking? It's okay to spend some of that money you saved from not smoking. In the very beginning of my quit, I rewarded myself quite a bit because it was important to me. Nothing extravagant really. When I hit a year quit, I purchased a pair of spin shoes. Two years quit now, my how time flies. I have a Jawbone UP and have had to send it back more than once. They send a new one, no questions asked over and over. Guess they are having problems lol. Have been really getting tired of it all and had been thinking about upgrading. So, I order online my two year reward this morning and it already arrived somehow tonight, a Garmin Vivosmart and a HRM. 20. Welcome @Edy, lots of us felt the same way until we stumbled on this forum full of like minded people who knew what we were going through because they were either going through it too or had already been. That's what this place can do for you

    New look

You guys don't need to worry about adjusting. Sometimes when there are updates we lose our custom forum settings temporarily, thus the grrr from MQ because he and our tech guy rixcz have to put them all back up.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
