  1. Egg and lettuce sandwich
  2. Bowen's are my fav...but being a temporary Darwin girl for a few years can't say I mind the calypso either. The rain did the same thing to dad's peach, feijoa and loquat trees last year...so far the feijoa and loquat trees seem like we will get a harvest this year....peaches are too early to say yet.
  3. Oh yes we love desserts... lots of people will skip the entre (starter) and just have a main a dessert when eating out. Growing up we always had sweets (dessert) after dinner every night...well if we ate our main that was. I usually do dinner and sweets every night for the kid. Although I don't do the desserts you see on master chef. When I travelled to Sydney earlier this year I went to Reynold resteraunt... omg best dessert I've ever had. I didn't care it was totally on my no list and I was dick for 2 days...it was so worth it.
  4. Think we should crash @Doreensfree for dinner next Sundee. Right now I'm trying to decide if I took my tablets once or twice or maybe 3 times.... and if I did take 3 lots is that why I feel very light headed. Also wondering how a truck turning right at a set of lights ends up taking out oncoming traffic....how....and why in peak hour.
  5. Pea floater (For those of you who google this I apologise on behalf of those dodgy crow eaters from Adelaide who call this abomination food)
  6. You are doing so well, especially surrounded by smokers. Try some juice or fruit to help with the headaches... your body sugars go screwy when we quit and headaches are a sign of that. Keep going strong.
  7. I should be sleeping but I am preparing my 25 days of Aussie Christmas music, cos that's what you do at 12.30am on a work day.... be prepared for some originals and some I've posted before, and some Aussies just singing the classics....I was going to aim for 25 original Aussie chrissy songs, but I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel to get there.
  8. Oh I'm so giving these a try.
  9. Eating a Vegemite sanga for dinner with a glass of oat milk... yep just can't be assed cooking.
  10. Come Monday (Jimmy Buffet) Do you think we are making good life choices?

  12. Scampi
  13. AUSTRALIANA (Austen Tayshus) Ii it really a song if it's spoken word?

  15. Australia - The Kinks What should you fo on your holiday (vacation)?
  16. Making chocolate spiders, honey joys and choccie crackles....for a class party the kid told me about at 12.18am this morning
  17. 1. Balance it on some bessa blocks and make a book/trinket shelf.
  18. No those are glutinous sticky rice balls cooked a warm soup made of coconut milk, palm sugar and salt with toasted sesame seeds. It sounds odd but it's delicious. I love lychees... used to take them in my school lunch and peel them then eat them. For a creepy punch you can use tinned lychees and put a blueberry in the hole, then it really looks like an eyeball. You then put these in ya punch bowl. Or you can put them in a bowl of jelly.
  19. Eating dessert at my fave Thai place..
  20. @Doreensfree ... look at that tray of snags...doesn't it just make you want to visit a hardware store...lol... hope you have a Bunnings trip scheduled into you plans
  21. Ok so I went with Egan pumpkin soup and home made irish soda bread. Both smash hits. We had so much food it was wonderful.
  22. Wouldn't you think after all these years I'd proof read me ramblings?
  23. I'm so glad you've decided to rejoin us. You've prepared well and you know we are here to support you if/when needed.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
