  1. Jillar, the best I have been able to tell is that their common branston sandwich pickle is our tangy type bread and butter pickle?
  2. They are indeed a great sandwich. Were not you pickles called branston?
  3. Yummy. We have both here. Our corned beef hash is usually from a can and is usually served with eggs. The corned beef for sandwiches is usually packaged like other lunch meats?
  4. I have not eaten yet today so this conversation has me pretty hungry. I'd be very willing to give the corned beef from a tin a dance around the floor. How is it generally prepared there?
  5. Except for sandwiches, its common to be fresh and boiled with cabbage here. I'm surprised it's not the same there? Is gammon fresh?
  6. It doesn't sound gross to me. We have hams that come in a tin. Don't you?
  7. We also boil corned beef. Is that the same in the UK?
  8. I figured it was ham due to the glaze and pineapple, but I never heard the term gammon for it before?
  9. Confession: I never heard of roast gammon. Jillar, had you heard of it? Your stellar clue was right on track Jo.

  11. edam?
  12. Perhaps you need to tell me?
  13. Don't feel bad about it. Don't you know that I am amazed every day at the common things that I don't know?
  14. I've never heard of them, but don't you suppose that's just me?
  15. I like mars bars a lot, but I never heard of a deep fried one. Is that common there?
  16. Can I have some time to bone up on Scottish deserts?
  17. Am I the only one getting hungry now?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
