  1. Oh!! Says the sock smeller ?
  2. Hey! Day 4 is freaking awesome! After 72 hours the actual drug nicotine should be completely out of your system. From here, it's the mind games of junkie receptors that will beg for more. Have a plan for your "down times" puzzles, snacks, phone games...I would literally tell myself "NOPE! Find something else to do!" And just move on. I also found making a "Why I Quit" list very helpful as a visual reminder. (Put it right up on the fridge and it's still there now, over a year later) ETQ to KTQ!
  3. Much respect?
  4. Agree! And dyeing easter eggs? Confession: I'm haven't used deodorant in 10+ years...I use lemon juice to clean then sea salt and lavander oil.
  5. I've been racking my brain all morning (since I saw it) and... I've never been to Canada. Is the best I can think of right now... Oop...never bungee jumped either.?
  6. CELEBRATING 10 MONTHS FREE!!! Scream that to the world! Let it out because how wonderful for you and your family! Congrats Farmgirl! Never give up, never give in! This is the start of the rest of your smoke free life and how sweet it is!
  7. Welcome Cader! Everyone has said everything I would have already. Quitting really is as simple as never putting another cigarette in your mouth. Because now it's the same as putting one in your baby's mouth. Read about nicotine addiction, there are pinned posts at the top of the main board that are full of the info you need to get started! We're behind you 100%, but the heavy load is yours to carry. Please give yourself this gift; you will never regret it, but you will regret smoking while that baby grows inside you...trust me.
  8. Welcome @RhinoDragon! 3 days is awesome as we all have to start somewhere! Continue to read and educate yourself about nicotine addiction, the changes it has made to your brain to build defenses against relapse. There is information pinned (green thumbtacks) at the top of each page that give all the info you need to get started, whyquit.com is another place full of helpful info. Grab a seat on the Train, we're glad you're here!
  9. Meeee toooo!! I'm a smairly fart lady, but this made me feel dumb? 20 yrs= 7300 days ÷ Quit 1yr 5mos= 515 days = 14.17% quit?
  10. Congratulations on 8 months Gordo!! I hope you're still on the train, just in the quiet cars in the back Reward yourself well, 8 months is nothing to scoff at...you are well on your way to the top! Congrats, again!
  11. Yea, Parsley!! 2 months already?? It's been fun watching you grow and learn! Celebrate today, doesn't have to be big but make sure it's special and only for you!
  12. Good morning!! Be meowsome today!!
  13. PARTY ON, GITW!! I'm also so proud and happy to see your name in lights!! You wanted it, you fought for it and you got it! Congratulations!
  14. I didn't even try...? It was fun and sweet that we were obviously on each others minds at the same time... Pb and j will never be the same?
  15. I went for her everytime, without fail! Thanks for reminding me...gotta go check the wash now!?
  16. I had a dream last night that our very beautiful @Doreensfree was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sticker...if I left her anywhere she would catch the wind and fly off and get stuck somewhere crazy. (Once on a tree, once between two seat cusions, and the back of a man's shirt) Then, I would hear her crying and have to go everywhere looking for her and very carefully peel her off (because it hurts a sticker to get peeled off). After a few times, I learned to keep her stuck on my shirt so she couldn't fly off again? And, to top it off, I came here to send her a message to tell her this funny story and she had already messaged me...kismet.
  17. Congrats (T)!! Reward yourself every day to reinforce all the hard work you've put in the past 2 weeks. ETQ to KTQ!!
  18. Congratulations Rez! What an amazing story of love and quitting! Hope you celebrate big time!
  19. Crazy cool...hopefully it will one day replace the nrt that contain nicotine.
  20. I found this funny; made me think of you and @notsmokinjo dog talk over in Stick alley... Hope you have a great new day as a non-smoker!
  21. Boo is proof that the gene pool needs a lifeguard. Jillar is so stupid she thinks Tiger Woods is a forest in India. Bakon is so dumb, he needs twice as much sense just to be a half-wit.
  22. Leash means animal, right? Sooo.... NOPE!
  23. To me, it's only memories.
  24. Yes! Drying leaves, wet dirt, fire places Ahhhhh....non-smokers have the good life! Enjoy!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
