  1. G’day NOPE starts my day
  2. G’day I had a cig on the Friday night 9th oct 2015, nothing surprising about that, can’t remember what time. I was on the champix and my day, was to be that next week. i got up next morning and that’s when the magic happened. I got up and didn’t smoke. Not One. Was it the champix... who cares 0830 came around and I knew this was the day! Hunted up all my cigs the ashtrays the butts the lot. Drowned them in the kitchen sink. Dumped the mess in the bin And took my sweetheart out to a movie. She took 4 days to figure out I wasn’t smoking. I keep going toward. It will be 4 years this October 10 at 0830. Couldn’t care less about that last cig. This was that moment that I quit. I refused to go back. EVER

  17. G’day Cover you shanks in vegemite and wrap in plastic wrap overnight. Chop up an onion carrot and celery and soften in a pan. Add to slow cooker. Add your lamb shanks, a can of crushed tomatoes and 1/2 cup dry sherry and water to cover. Cook on low for the day. Remove shanks and use a stick blender to turn the cooking liquid into your gravy. Sorry for the lack of definite measurements it’s not that sorta recipes. You’ll make it your own I’m sure. Enjoy
  18. G’day My humble opinion go the shoulder for low and slow. More yummy connective tissue that needs that slow heat. Leg of lamb best served a bit pink. You can’t beat one of the holly trinity..... sage rosemary and thyme and you don’t need the lot together either. One thing I don’t think lamb needs is too much sweetness unless it’s balanced by salt. For the big money answer my favourite would be a slow cooked lamb shoulder pre brined with thyme and lemon zest and a small amount of native honey for a least 12 hours then slow dry roasted. For Jo my other favourite would be vegemite and sherry lamb shanks left on low in the slow cooker all day whilst I’m at work. Deserved to be served with spuds mashed with cream and fresh steamed beans.....
