    Quit: 7:30 AM 01/04/2018 (getting close to the 1 year mark). Quit is going strong but I now see the reason for that 1 year mark and has been my motivation. What is going, not much -- retirement is much overrated!!!!!!

    Welcome aboard Chosen, this is one of the greatest journey's you will ever take and it will be the most rewarding. Not much to add since the others have chimed in. One hint, come here daily for at least the NOPE pledge (it really does work) and try out the other sections -- congrats on taking your life back!!!!

    Lilly thanks for posting this. I too went through the same thing, except that I smoked for many years after even though I was angry about what smoking had done to my mother. It is strange how this addiction works. The emotions you are going thru are par for course -- keep strong and keep coming back-- you are doing fantastic. Congrats on getting thru day 3!!!!!!

    Yes those ulcers can be a pain but you are handling it well. I agree with Jillar, try some warm salt water gargles to see if that will help. Great job on getting thru day 2.

    I must say my prayers are definitely with those in California. Many years ago I lived in Paradise, Ca. and I cannot believe that the town is gone, it truly lived up to its name. I have not been able to get my head around this!!!
