  5. As much as I was into a lot of Rock and Progressive Rock at the time I have to admit that this song (and group) I strangely liked and always reminds me of my entering of my teen years. And to Johnny5 I accidently saw Starland Vocal Band by accident in Washington DC in 1977 -- story is too long and too weird!!!

  11. Completely agree, the NOPE pledge has been a huge help in the quit and having the S.O.S. there is a comfort. I also walk early in the morning especially since the 116 degree day a couple of weeks ago, nice now.

  14. Congrats Nancy way to go. And thanks for all that you have done -- Class Job!!!!!
  15. I had saved quite a bit since I quit smoking. I finally splurged a month or so ago on all that savings. Photography is my hobby and I went all out on a computer custom built for phot processing along with a pro-photo 32 inch monitor and I am loving it. Something I had dreamed about for a couple of years and all thanks to quitting. By the way I still have some of that savings still!!!!!

  21. Kate18, stay strong. What I did (and still do), besides coming here, was to take stock of where I am at and what I have accomplished with quitting. Take time to measure the positives and negatives -- a deep look and that will give you encouragement. I always remember my medical staff that I see, they continue to be impressed with what I have done and continue to this day state how my health had improved. I still have medical problems from smoking but I am now able to fight those problems. You can do this, keep strong!!!!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
