Good news!
Hey Michelle -- good on the commitment to quit. As to your signature go to your profile (upper right of page with your picture) then go to account settings -- on the left you should see signature click on that and should take you to the set-up for your signature.

Mr EX Smoker here [hopefully]
Hey George welcome, you will find many good people here. I am sorry for the loss of your wife. As you mentioned earlier that you had posted in another topic here which is good. Feel free to post anytime to let us know how you are doing of if you need any advice. Also you can get lost in the games and socializing topics -- anyway much to help you get thru your quit. I always recommend the daily NOPE ledge, at first I thought it kind of corny but it has truly helped me on this journey -- to keep the quit going. Keep strong!!!!

New to this - couple of questions
Hello Funkyfunjo, glad to have you aboard for this journey. It is fantastic that you are a month or so in and I get where you are coming from on the exact counting. As to your questions I did have some bloating in the earlier stages but did not bother me much. The voice thing not so sure, did/ do have a bit of problem but at this time counting that to allergies, anyway your throat will benefit from quitting -- keep your doctor appraised if it gets worse or you get more concerned (after I quit because of some throat issues they did do a CAT scan and all came out great). The blood circulation and the "feet problem" I did have -- what I can say now is that my feet are much better and circulation overall is much better -- this is a continual process as your quit gets longer, you will see many improvements. There is a lot to read here that will help. Again great having you along!!!!!!

FDA warns vaping companies about using social media 'influencers' They don't want them promoting the products.
Another step in the right direction. Also the statement talks about Juul reworking it's marketing to adults who want to quit, the ads I have seen promote it as a replacement to cigarettes. So are the lies continuing or with truth prevail!!!!

New here
Welcome aboard Richard, glad to have you along on this journey. I was 64 when I quit and it has been almost a year and a half of no smoking. Yes it is a bit tough at the beginning and you are having some of the same symptoms that I (we all) have had. The good news is that it does get better, not overnight, but it does get better. Come here often to post, read, and educate yourself -- there is a lot of good information and whole bunch of good people that can help you with this. Also go to the daily "NOPE" pledge forum and pledge NOPE daily, it may seem corny but it really helped me and continues to so. Anyway try drinking cold fluids and deep breathing techniques. This can be done and congrats you are almost three weeks into your quit -- that is a major accomplishment!!!!

Most definitely it can as I have attested to. Smoking leads to so many health problems -- so it takes from your health and your wallet. Quit now it can only help you!!!
