  1. Nope. All the best to Doreen!!
  2. I’m a huge coffee lover. One thing I thought I would never cut back on, but I have had to. Later in the day is when it hits me. I’ve cut back about half of my normal daily intake. It seems to be making me nervous. Cutting back helps.
  3. Thanks folks. The support of everyone here helps, a lot.
  4. You know me all too well lol. The triggers were all there but I kicked they asses like molasses!!
  5. Today is going to be tough. A lot of driving…
  6. Keep going. You can do it. They offer you nothing. They take away your money, health and your time. They do nothing for you.
  7. Good read..
  8. I’ve been telling myself for several years now that I’m going to quit one day soon. I got sick and didn’t/couldn’t smoke much so figured, why can’t I do this I’m not sick? I wanted to quit on my terms, not while lying in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of my chest. It just seemed like the right time.
  9. Day 8. I feel really good today. The cravings aren’t constant. I think I felt so bad that even brief moments with no cravings mean a lot. But I don’t want to get too cocky. Never know what the next hour or hours may bring.
  10. Yep. If you’re anything like me, alone time is tough on me. My wife and I work almost different shifts so I spend a lot of time alone. 11 days is something to celebrate. Keep going…
  11. It hit me Thursday. I pulled out all the stops, even trying to nap , I couldn’t. I caught myself yelling at myself in the mirror. Seriously thought I was losing my mind. I just kept telling myself as I walked every room in the house, “this too shall pass”. And it did. Keep going! Don’t give up.
  12. I haven’t noticed tongue color. But I have noticed my mouth feeling fresher LOL
  13. My hands don’t stink. Simple, but yet significant to me. I sit and breathe through my hands for several minutes at a time LOL
  14. Your body is thanking you. Congratulations!
  15. Congratulations! Fantastic!
  16. One year! Wow!
  17. Nope!!
  18. Last Saturday( this day last week) was the first time in 37 years that I left my house for work without a pack of cigarettes. I will never forget that day and feelings I was having. Oh, the clatter in my lungs is completely gone. I can actually take deep breath‘s without the urge to cough.
  19. Cool. One is too many and a thousand is not enough.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
