Lack of knowledge.....not understanding this addiction ... I used to think I liked smoking ... I understand now ...I was just a addict who was addicted to nicotine ....

Thank you Chris for your honest post ...keep recovering .... I sometimes ask myself ...have I dodged the bullet...after smoking myself over 5 decades... Who knows !!!!! What I do know the 6 years I have been smoke free have been the best years I can remember .....

Late as usual..... Hope the quit train peeps ,helped you through ..... There is a ton of stuff here to get you by , play some games....I'm sure the guys would love to see you in the sticks and chicks game..,. Watch the funny animal thread ... Read all the past posts ..there is so much info there.... Do you like jigsaws...the charity shops have heaps of them..... Glad you came here...you are never alone ....

I too tried alot of quits this way ...of course they all led to failure... Spent my whole time clock watching ,waiting for my next fix.... All its doing is keeping the addiction alive....but agonizing when you can get that little stick of misery ... Once I told my addict brain ...you can never have another puff ever....i was calmer and it was excepted....

All is well this is brilliant news ...our baby Boo is thriving .... Sugar Britches is doing a grand job ....nice to hear she is blooming as they say..... Also found out today that Baby Boo's ears are where they're supposed to be now and the wee one can hear voices and sounds This is brill...now we can sing our canoe song and know babe can hear us .... Row Row Row the boat ,gently down the stream Merily Merily Life Is Just A Dream.... Next month ...so exciting.....carn,t wait .....

Great post Joe ... The benefits of quitting keep on getting better and better ...I don't think we as smokers took in exactly how every part of our body was effected ... I still get a big buzz of how good I feel now, after smoking 52 years ... Let the miracle happen Joe ....
