Hi HD, I smoked a long time ...a very long time....my body didn't know what hit it when I quit..... I went through every emotion possible....sleep was non existent....bad temper....crying all the time... But I was told to push through it all ...it will get better.... You know what.... It does.....slowly things startes to settle down.... I just used to repeat to my self....nope....this will pass....smokkng is not on the table....no matter what.... You have a great quit going....I promise it does get better...x

I had to learn to do everything without my crutch...I was like a toddler learning all about life... I had smoked all my life...so even doing the simple things without that ciggy reward was a way of life I had to get used too... But slowly it got easier..now..I can do all of those things..with out even thinking of them... You have a great quit going...keep surging forward...

Oh yes ...been there .... After smoking through 5 decades my body went berserk... I kept on telling myself every day...whatever im feeling I won't smoke.... Folks told me it would pass.....and it did....slowly things got better.... Your body is going through some dramic changes....would the magic will happen....

I agree MQ a hundred per cent...education....bring in to therapy classes....now would be a perfect time.... I couldn't be forced either. ...I needed the tools...and knowledge....

This is a subject I think will differ from person to person....so this is my view only..... I have in the past had to visit secure mental health units....this is what I observed.... No smoking inside....a secure door was opened every hour ,for smokers to go out together and have a smoke....with supervision I had already quit...what I did take notice....they gathered together had a chat...even a laugh or two.... They were people who had been dealt a rough deal ....life hadn't been kind to them.... I carnt see the point to making the vulnerable folks suffer any more than they are... Looking at a young girl of twenty who has cuts galore all over her body...having a cig..... I say she has enough to deal,with....so my opinion.is leave them be..... They should too be able to have a choice...

Your already a non smoker....never take another puff.... Take it one day at a time....don't look any further than today.... Congrats....

One of my favourite quotes I was given ,early in my quit... It's ok to wobble ...just don't fall over... Early in our quits we get our junkie brain ,trying to trick us back to buying a pack... It's what you do with those thoughts..... Everytime you fight that monster...your winning... Your stronger than he is... Keep fighting...
