  5. lol you said it MQ in much shorter phrase than me, but yes.... its going back to not dwelling on those words when the addiction is working its stuff on you....I just left the phrases out like,........ why is this happening what if I took one puff to satisfy the urge how am I going to get through this When is this going to stop............ Remember I come from the generation of "I'm just out there looking for my head"......guess I'm still out there some times.....lol Happy KTQ to you all........ ..
  6. sorry on this one Markus......I've never done this style, though a challange is always welcome, but just not sure if my voice would fit the style.....But, not to say I can't try it..... I did give coumtry a honest try once, but it came out disastrous.
  7. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=92_Te11ay4M Bassman's new song. I Will Always Know......... By the way something was asked earlier over in that other place and to answer, I write these songs, the words, the tune / music, then I record them. I play all the instruments and do all the singing. I've been playing guitar 47 years, home recording 40 years. This is about all I have left of my sanity........ http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=92_Te11ay4M
  8. Smokeless assist.....what to do, and how to do ......if.......when......... how..... Why..............where... I am sure all of us has gone through these words before, during, and after our quit. They are the words that if the definitive answer was given, there would be absolutely nothing to the quit. The one word in common with all of them that defines them as absolute is addiction. If you are not aware of the addiction, then the quit will not work, will not last. Your quit has to he stronger than the addiction. Those are the two forces at work, the quit and the addiction. In short keep this in mind, the quit is nothing more than depriving the addiction. Starve the addiction, don't dwell on the why........... if..........when............how..........where. Believe in yourself enough that your quit has the number 1 priority over you, that the quit is what this is all about....your quit is what you are all about, the addiction is an parasite outsider with no reason to even have a life. Your life is worth more than that. Smokless assist is just words to not dwell on..........Bassman

  16. Good to see you here Juan..... Lots of good advise you got....lol even for free......just remember to focus on your quit and when the urges hit from the addiction, remind yourself why you are not smoking and let the urge know that you are stronger than it is. The urge is nothing more than the addiction looking for its next fix, and the longer you deprive that fix, the higher your chances are of making it all the way to a sticky quit. Hang in there and we'll hang in there with you.......we'll all make this...... .....Bassman

  23. Hi to all the nonsmokers I have not met yet and Hi to all the good friends and family I already know. I smoked my last cigarette on Jan 4th 2014 so coming upon my 3 month quit. I smoked for 35 years and now am a smokeaholic. I am thrilled at my new health and looking forward to a productive quit on this board. Well board or not, it will be productive but you know what I mean..... I am Bassman......as in bass guitar, but am an avid ex bass fisherman as I had to sell my boat to my son in law........ Looking forward to this new community and doing the NOPE Shuffle................Bassman

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
