  1. MQ, I can't even imagine the things you have gone through over the last year but I am glad you jumped right back in and that we could all join you. Congratulations!
  2. So very cool. Congratulations!
  3. Excellent job. Those are 2 months that you NEVER EVER have to do again!
  4. Yay for both of you! I can't believe so much time has passed. I still remember reading when you picked your quit date and all the preparations you made. I am so happy for both of you!!!!
  5. Beacon, congratulations! That is fantastic. I know its been tough but you are doing this!
  6. YAY! Congratulations joylovepeace. I love that you are here!!!!
  7. Congratulations Bassman! I am ready for my audition now .... la, la, la, la, la. NOPE. Need more lessons.
  8. Hi Soul. Okay, wait ... you mean to tell me the lido deck doesn't have bell hops? Really?
  9. Yay! Fay is here. Hi Fay!
  10. Hiya Lynn!
  11. Sometimes I go from being amused at people and their actions and sometimes just thinking WTF and and then say that I am "baffled". Just stuck.
  12. No, no Donna. This was pretty much my old personality too. Do not fret. Oh, the hormones. I'm getting a bit cranky. Where is bandit?
  13. Rachael -- I am so glad you are here!
  14. Hey Tommy. Welcome!
  15. Haha. New place, same me. Still not artistic at all. So can't help. Sorry. Plus I am tone deaf. Or so my children tell me.
  16. Hi HAT. Where are you at with all of this now?
  17. You've got this. Two things come to my mind though. I need to go diving now and see if I can not go through a tank of air in less than 30 minutes. I could never decide whether it was because I sucked air in far too deeply and often or whether it was because I seriously like to play with my BC. I inflate and deflate constantly. I think I have a bit of ADHD. Also, how did we smoke on a dive boat? There are oxygen tanks strapped all over it!!!!! Glad you are not smoking. Let me know what your computer says about your air consumption.
  18. I know you already sent it over but just tell her for me that I thought I was a special snowflake and could not quit. It turns out I am just an ordinary snowflake (my mother lied to me) and I could and did. Someone needs to tell your mom that she is not a special snowflake either. If I can do this, she can do this.
  19. Doreen, you have taken over a place in my heart since I came to know you. You are so soft and gentle. I am sending warm thoughts and wishes your way across the universe. Share them with Tony.
  20. Your husband is a brilliant man. You are so lucky to have him. Dark side of the moon is my bedside "you know -- night time" music.
  21. Oh yeah. This pretty much sums me up. I can be a bitch at times. When people made me mad, I'd go and smoke. People must have made me mad all the time because I started smoking all the time toward the end. Maybe its a function of age. When I was in my 20s, I wanted to be liked by all. In my 30s, I still tried to please but not as much. In my 40s, started to think, why? But still wanted to keep face. I just turned 49. I am pretty much entering, who gives a shit stage. Its kind of scary. I need to bring it in a bit. I don't want to go alienating everyone now. What if I have to move? Who will I call? Need to think ahead people.
  22. Nah. Can never go wrong with Pink Floyd. If it comes on the radio, no one is allowed to speak. Its a religious thing.
  23. Oh, I forgot about the toothbrush ... I hid mine for a few weeks after that. I became so paranoid about that. Forgot to thank you for that. Thank you.
  24. Jeni, I hope you are really working that bikini! Enjoy the lido deck. Congratulations on 1 year!!!!
  25. With all that is/still going on in your life LB, you have kept the quit. You are strong. Congratulations on 2 months!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
