  7. Being on the train is good for your quit. I believe that posting and reading how others go through the stages and list reasons they quit helped me. I would recommend everyone post at least one word to the board each day the first year. The year mark is past the hard part, but it's the big goal. I see most quiters fail in the first year but after a year the failure rate has to be less than the people on Jimmy's bus. Even my pea brain understands the reasons first year has most fails. So to battle the pitfalls I challenge you to post one word here a day for year. Just HI is enough. Or Good Job to anyone. The act of checking in will make you see the struggle and reinforce the quit you are building. The more blocks you add to your quit, the thicker and higher the wall against failing. So hit someone's thread after making the pledge to give yourself a year hanging out with the knuckleheads, cat owners, Window lickers and flip flop wearing people here. All have the same goal...staying quit.

  19. Shoo. Cats are only for newbies who don't know better. Got to pick new theme for new year. Got any plans for a reward?
  20. I hate rap more than country. I like kid rock but left half way through concert. Total rap
  21. Eddie Rabbit Driving my life Away... bothered me for hours
  22. Next song is a re-make of an old one. I know this beat and words are only slightly different. It's the rain song. Windshield wipers song from 1980's. What was that song wipers go flip flap wash back something something. Not even an original beat. This is rap for idiots C Kenny chesney. Called rock n roll kids. Now that is ironic. Stole a country song, sang it country, put rock in title. Need to tie a big rock around his neck, put him in his truck, run it off the bridge in the rain.
  23. I tried all day in car. I like knowing the lyrics. I like the boots. The hats. Hot chicks. Beer drinking redneck stuff is perfect. Good beat. But put it all together and still not rock. They play it at gym. Owner says classic rock is druggy music. He must have got picked on in high school and spent to much time in his garage lifting weights. Seriously there was no country music in Pittsburgh back in 1980's. So I know he got picked on by rock crowd. So anyways I like knowing lyrics to songs. And country is easy to figure out words. But it I so simple my brain quit. It refuses to participate so just the ears are playing. They are bleeding. "I got my chain saw ah aha ah. Sitting on a stump". I give up. I gave it all day and can't do it anymore.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
