NOPE ... Woo Hoo.....it is so hot here that I am not leaving my house today! Thank God I don't have to go anywhere or do anything but catch up on my reading or find a good movie to watch!!

NOPE...on this Saturday where the heat index in my neck of the woods should be about 115 (temp 96)

NOPE (I'm back from my NC roadtrip....guess what I saw down there in tobacky country...an empty, out-of-business cigarette outlet store!!!)

False...have never even ridden on one! TNP has to think about vacuuming the house for at least 1 week before actually doing it!

@notsmokinjo - c'mon, Jo, it's not that cold by you!! 57 degrees is balmy for a winter day...then again when it rains it feels that much colder, I guess. @reciprocity - The kids here would get a kick out of having a piggie at my pool party!!! Piggies don't have many sweat glands, do you....you would need a mud bath to cool off, no? It was sweltering here poolside, no breeze whatsoever - I had to bring my oscillating fan outside to move the air around! Good time had by all!

Getting ready for an impromptu pool party (niece contacted me last night to ask if she could have one for her nieces (they are heading back to their home in North Carolina in a few days). So a few family members and a few of their bff's will be arriving soon! Let the fun begin...it's going to be a scorcher today...90+...perfect pool weather!!

It is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do! Now that I have some time under my belt, I hardly ever think about lighting a poison stick on fire and sticking it in my mouth. Currently, a friend is in the hospital suffering from lung cancer and doesn't have much time left...she quit smoking about 5-6 years before being diagnosed this past April. The cancer metastasized to her brain....she is now a shell of her former self, is no longer verbal, cannot control bodily functions and needs round the clock care. To beat a crave, all I have to do is think about what she is going through...awful, awful, awful!

I have been doing some power washing of my teak table and chairs in my backyard (whoo - it is hot and humid out there!!) and my hose has developed a few bubbles and it will have to be replaced.....but it is frozen onto the spigot!! I tried wd-40, a wrench....won't budge. Luckily, I have a buddy staying with me and he is going to help me remove the whole darn thing and replace it with a new one.....

I saw some pics/vid of the flooding in the New Orleans area....unreal! Stay safe, @Sazerac!
