Good morning beautiful people. Its 7.40am here :) Yes, still here and still smoke free!! Wow the first 7 days were horrible :( I'm glad I read all the info about side effects after quitting. It helped to deal with it all. The worse system I still have is bad heartburn...
-
I'm in day 6 now. Feeling a little calmer today. The heartburn is still here, yuk, hope that stops soon

Thank you everyone...your comments and support really help

Now in my 5th day of quitting. Feeling lots of side effects. Extremely tired, no energy, depressed, bad heartburn, diarrhea, very angry, anxious, jittery... Going through these withdrawals has made me realise just how powerful this horrible drug, nicotine is!!! I don't ever want it in my system again!!

NOPE NOPE NOPE !!!

I have no outside or extra stress to deal with and really looking after myself, but withdrawals are really strong today!! I've been distracting myself & keeping busy but feeling very angry...normally, I rarely get angry. I know I just have to ride it through. The deep breathing does help... Am in 4th day of my quit...

Thank you. I have a fair way to go yet, but getting through these last few days was huge for me :) Seriously, if I can do it...you can too. I do feel its being able to get on this site, learn more by reading everything, knowing that everyone here knows how I feel & sharing experiences

The morning of 15th at 7am, I caved & had one cigarette...my last cigarette. My first day of my quit began. The morning of 16th, is the start of my second day. This morning of 17th, is the start of my third day. It is now close to 9.30pm and it's my bedtime here in Australia. I am now in the 3rd day of my quit and in the morning, Sunday 18th, I will begin my 4th day. Does that clear it up enough for you Sgt.barney?? Did I make it clear enough for you to understand? You must be very easily confused & a bit slow...

OK will try that. I'm also having daily - 2 tblsp of apple cider vinegar with honey & lots of water. Also fresh ginger teas

Thank you :)

So right!! The first 3 days are really really hard!! But I've done it! This site has helped heaps. I have learned a lot. It helps knowing that you all know exactly how I feel :) Thank you again!!

I'm only 3 days into my quit from being a very heavy smoker for over 40 years. I have quit cold turkey with no aids or nicotine replacement. I am struggling, but if it wasn't for this group's encouragement, logging on constantly, reading as much as I can to prepare me...well I could not have done it without this group & all that I have learned. Good luck, wish you the best :)

Side effects of early nicotine withdrawal
Lyn4Life replied to Lyn4Life's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
Hahaha yes got that too :) The only thing that is keeping me going is knowing these symptoms are only temporary & I will feel better soon. Also great hearing all of your comments about symptoms - I don't feel so unusual :) -
Thank you everyone. Yes I am definitely much more sensitive to coffee now. Still have some coffee, around lunch time & the rest if the time - tea
-
Its 3rd day of my quit. Its 7.30am. Having my morning cup of tea instead of coffee. Coffee in the morning now makes me feel very jittery...can certainly do without that!! Very strange not having my usual coffee and ciggy in the mornings...instead, I am on this site reading and posting :)

Yes, I will ask my doctor next week. I think it probably is a symptom of the big changes going on in my body. My 'corner of the world' is Queensland, Australia
