  1. Good grief. No idea what you are babbling about. I have not deleted any messages, I blocked you from sending more private messages & did not declare that I'm leaving because of you. I will say what you told me in your one of your messages 'Get over it' Stop all this ridiculous behaviour now, & leave me be to get on with quitting

  3. Yes, I believe I will be successful this time. I am by nature a very determined person when something is important to me & I can feel my determination getting stronger & stronger. While I was puffing away on my bender afternoon on Sunday, it just felt so ridiculous to be doing it!! It tasted horrid, cost way too much money & I felt like a fool sitting there puffing away :)
  4. I don't want to do this journey alone & I do need support with this addiction. Hearing the experiences of others on their quit journey is a huge help for me
  5. I have not once blamed anyone for my recent failed quit & will never do that at any time. I have always blamed myself & take full responsibility for all of my actions. I am and always have been an incredibly strong person...anyone who knows me well knows this of me. I have reached out for support to quit and I never normally ask for help from anyone for anything. Everyone is different & I know for me that the hard, sarcastic, degrading approach does not work for me and is definitely not what I need. This is what I choose & need this to be respected. My recent failure has reaffirmed to me just how much I do not want to be a smoker ever ever ever!!! I will successfully achieve this with or without this group. I would prefer to do it with support from this group with people who share their experiences of their journey to beat this addiction
  6. I have no family and my two daughters live on the other side of the country. I live alone & im glad i am in this situation while quitting. I dont have anyone around to take my misery out on...i keep it to myself and share my thoughts with this great support group
  7. N O P E !!! BACK ON THE TRAIN !!!
  8. I busted this morning. Had several ciggies :( My reasons for busting...feeling down, sad, miserable, lonely. And of course, the ciggies I had obviously did not help with any of the above...just makes it all worse. I am now back to square one! I am not giving up giving up.
  9. Thank you everyone :) Just wish I felt better...

  12. Now in my 13th day of not smoking. Came very close to buying a pack to tobacco 2 days ago! If someone had offered my a CIG, I would have smoked it!! Starting to smell my surroundings a lot clearer now. My place of living now smells like lavender :) I can smell a smoker from a long distance away & car fumes are hideous! We all need to get as passionate about smoking as doing something positive about getting rid of dangerous toxins emitting from vehicles! Still have acid reflux & its still disturbing my sleep every night & occasionally vomiting from it. But know this is a temporary side effect if quitting smoking is keeping me going & am taking all the right natural remedies to help get rid of it. I'm sure my digestive system will settle down soon...its been through major changes & its all positive :)
  13. Thanks :) I will get checked out at doctor. I've never been a coke drinker or any soft drink. The tonic water with lemon sounds good

  15. Anyway, I'm in my 10th day of not smoking. For me, I know I should have used nicotine patches as I quit and did it all slower. The heartburn has developed into acid reflux & I can't eat much. I will keep plodding along and won't undo any of the hard work I've done over the past 10 days
  16. 9 days smoke free & side effects of quitting are still here & the symptoms I'm feeling just seem to be getting worse. Vomiting, constant painful heartburn, diarrhea, bloating, gas. Its really bringing me down :( I've been doing a lot of reading on the issue & it seems it happens to quitters who have smoked heavy for many, many years. Some of these people suffer with the same symptoms that I have for many months! Maybe I should have used a nicotine replacement such as gum or patches & weaned off it slower rather than 'cold turkey'

  18. Thank you so much :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
