  1. Sardines (I know, I know...). Hey, missed you in the food game for a few, Reci!
  2. I have the same reaction to seeing people smoking in a movie and no such reaction to seeing people smoke in real life. Like you, I would never act (stupid) on an impulse like that but I find it kind of fascinating that this happens. I wonder if it has to do with my unconscious identification with a character in a movie. That kind of identification doesn't happen between myself and another real person and so therefore that feeling doesn't come up. Just thinking it through... Don't mind me....
  3. Wow- I could never take it either for that same reason. Maybe I'll try it if I get a cold. Thanks for that!

  17. Hello Jayhawk and welcome to the QuitTrain! First off, congratulations on your quit! Secondly, if you haven't already done so, read as much as you can of the information for new members. The Joel Spitzer library has been a great resource for me. You can find videos on a myriad of topics related to quitting smoking. It seems whatever you are up against at any given moment, you can usually find a video that addresses that particular issue. Sit back and enjoy the ride. I think you'll find support and valuable information here, as I have. Best wishes, PeaceTrain

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
