  1. Bad feelings came and they will go. Just keep your resolve and in the meantime, see if you can do something pleasurable for yourself (bubble bath?)
  2. -2 'morning chicks (and you guys too)
  3. Congratulations on your 2 months, Jayhawk! You've got a solid quit going. NTAP!

    True or False

False (but pretended to faint once) TNP is allergic to at least one thing
  5. It seems almost disrespectful to "like" a heartbreaking post like this but I want to honor the powerful message being shared here. There are so many people looking at these posts, on the fence about quitting. Make no mistake about it. Smoking has nothing to redeem it. It's harmful in so many ways. If you're still smoking, stop playing Russian roulette. Take back your life. We've all don't it. You can too.
  6. Happy birthday, MQ! This site is a great gift. Hope you've gotten some good ones of your own today!
  7. Uh, this is a quit smoking board, so let's say the eating kind (brownies?) Mushroom risotto
  8. Hi K. Welcome to the Quit Train and congratulations on your decision to quit nicotine once and for all. The education you have access to here and the support you will receive will help but most important, in my opinion, is your outlook and your resolve to stay away from any and all sources of nicotine. For good. That's all you have to (not) do and you will be successful. For me, focusing on and looking forward to all the benefits of quitting helped keep me solid in my quit during difficult times. Please let us hear from you tomorrow, get yourself a ticker, keep yourself busy and don't look back. You can do this! Best wishes, Peace Train
  9. ZERO Reci gets the honesty badge
  10. I'm cooking up a storm. Hope you all like bacon mac and cheese

    True or False

True - fun! TNP is a confident public speaker
  12. 1 (Uh-oh.... looks like Bakon just got off work. Watch out, Chicks!)
  13. Thanks for sharing that, Jryan and you're right... with all we know about the dangers of smoking, all the devastation and death it has caused, it's downright crazy to smoke. But that's the thing about addiction. It defies logic and good sense. I've had thoughts like you're having now and when I do, I have to pull myself back to the gratitude that I've been able to quit and even if something does happen now, at least I'm not in the grip of that beast anymore.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
