  1. See if you can let go of all your concerns... About numbers.... You can release yourself from any old useless obligations.... And just rest... Peacefully and easily... You can fall asleep... Letting go... That's right... minus ten
  2. Hey there NoMore. Welcome to the QuitTrain community! Here, you have access to great information and kind, supportive, funny people who say it like it is. Everyone here has been incredibly helpful and welcoming to me since I joined here last June (I think). Anyway, read, watch videos from the Joe, Spitzer library, read more and post. Keep us informed on how you're doing. No matter what your personal challenges with quitting smoking may be, they are dwarfed by the dangers of continuing to smoke. If you haven't done so, check out Alan Carr's book, "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking." I believe it's available online at no cost. You can do this, NoMore! We're here to listen and boost you up if and when you need it.
  3. That's right Joe... You're doing great. You're soooooooo sleepy... So very sleepy shhhhh -10
  4. Joe, I hate to break it to you but I'm a hypnotist. You are getting sleepy... Very, very sleepy (((((((-10))))))
  5. Thank for the update, Dee. You sure do have a lot going on. I hope you will find some time for your own TLC in the midst of all your obligations. Best wishes to you and your mom.
  6. Good luck Lisa. You lost a lot before and you're getting help doing it now so my money's on you. Let's not forget that you quit smoking and have stayed a non smoker for years now. Seems like you can do anything you set your mind to.
  7. -10. You and me again, Joe... U getting sleepy yet?
  8. Just saw this Bev... I'm sorry you're having a hard time but please remember that whatever you're feeling now is a transient feeling that WILL pass. These feelings of vulnerability can happen. I think of it as the addiction whispering (or yelling) in your ear, trying to lure you back into the grips of the addiction. You've got to stay strong and counter that junkie thinking with thoughts that are actually true like: Smoking will NOT solve this problem. This tension from the conversation will not be eased by smoking as a matter of fact, I'll feel worse if I do smoke. Picking up a cigarette now will blow all the work I've done over the last 10 days. I'll be back at square one again. If I smoke, there's no guarantee I'll be able to quit again. I may be subjecting myself to a future of continually fighting this deadly addiction I've already been victorious these last 10 days. Nothing can keep me from success except myself. I can do this! i AM doing this! Or simply reminding yourself of all the compelling reasons you decided to quit to begin with. How are you doing now, Bev???
  9. 10. This is getting old...

  11. I already have a "T" at the end of my name. Very fitting. Best, PT

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
