  1. Besides crusty hot Italian bread, doughnuts are what I miss most being gluten free which I have been for 14 years now
  2. Congratulations Jack! Hope things are much easier for you now. It just gets better and better as time goes on.
  3. Can’t wait to hear about your visit with your dear brother and how it went for you. You’ve got such a strong quit going, I’m sure you’re acing it. Like others have said, maybe it won’t be an issue at all. It hasn’t been for me- surprisingly. I get more of an urge seeing someone in a movie smoking than I do seeing people in front of me smoking. I barely notice it.
  4. Respect!! What a beautiful accomplishment Jillar! Congratulations!!!
  5. Off day today. Body is (that good kind of) sore from yoga. Rest and rebuild day.
  6. Peace Train is late arriving to the party but let that not be interpreted as an expression of ennui about your amazing fantabulous, awesometric, gloriforous quit of 6, count ‘em, 6! months!!! You are a doll, Jo! I couldn’t be happier for you. Look at us and our bad selves!!
  7. I bet it was! You're really mixing it up on your workouts, Boo. WTG to keep the body guessing.
  8. Congratulations Jenny! No wonder you're such a solid leader around here with that beautiful quit! Thanks for all you do!

  14. GITW, you are awesome at 7 months quit and your awesomeness only increases as each month goes by. Congratulations!!!
  15. You’re a champ, lml! Every crave you beat down brings you closer to freedom. You really do have the right stuff
  16. A tension filled week can easily change its course when the sun comes out
  17. Congratulation, BKP! Whatever number it is, you've got this thing in the bag.
  18. Reci, you're the man! Thanks for keeping it all going with the annis since I've been on this board. I couldn't agree more that JO is the obvious choice to pass the baton to. Looking forward to seeing you around here!
  19. You're hitting on lots of important points there, Kate! Your quit is super fresh, super raw at the moment, and you're doing great posting here and analyzing what's going on,. As long as you can just let the feelings flow, they will do that- flow. Don't let them push you into any unwanted action (namely, smoking), just be the observer. Like you said, one day at a time. BTW, 5/20 is a perfect date to quit!
  20. Wow, Raj, utmost respect for your awesome quit!
  21. Indeed I did and probably others as well. My apologies to all and especially you, Bakon-Bit! How could that beautiful dress ever escape my memory!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
