  1. Moving office this week and lots of physical and emotional upheaval (long story). Elliptical 30 minutes this morning after only walking and packing for move Tuesday and Wednesday
  2. This a wonderful testimonial to the "not necessarily easy but definitely doable" nature of quitting smoking. I foresee that you will get a lot out of looking back at this post one day. KTQ! You're doing an absolutely great job!
  3. -3. Sorry chickies... I was SO outnumbered and also busy when those sticks came crashing through here.
  4. omg how did this happen? 9
  5. 2 take that book and...
  6. I've been off caffeine for many years and someone was not careful with my coffee and gave me regular instead of decaf last evening and I hardly slept the entire night. No exercise this morning as I was a zombie and had to start packing my office up (moving this Friday night- so excited!!!) Tomorrow is another day but I've got a really early start so I dunno... we'll see....
  7. Take note, lurkers and newbies... Reciprocity is living proof that it doesn't have to be several attempts before you can be successful. Sometimes that idea alone is enough to weaken someone's quit enough to cave in on their first attempt. When one is in the throes of withdrawal and strong urges, it could be easy to say, "I'll never do it. No one quits on their first attempt. It's too hard!" Wrong!!! It would be great to hear other success stories on the first attempt to quit. I can't say I was that smart. This is my third quit and so far, so amazing.
  8. Woke up late yet again on a Monday but did 20 minutes instead of the usual 1/2 hour on the elliptical. Better than nothing.
  9. Congratulations, Jack! Use this board however it works for you- that's what's important. It's obviously working, as evidenced by your beautiful 1/2 year quit. WTG!
  10. Late but NOPE all day and night long!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
