  18. I am so proud of you Marie for disposing of the cigs you found. Remember that in the days to come, how good it felt to have the discipline and determination to succeed this time. You can and you will. I like that you're trying to focus on good things about quitting: is your breathing noticeably better? I know my smoker's cough disappeared within 48 hours of quitting, which was WONDERFUL. Maybe that is something for you to think about..... And think about change-ups you can do to your daily routine, where smoking won't fit in. You're doing great!
  19. Way to go Martian! You are proving every day and every week and now every month that you can do this! Congratulations on reaching 3 months of smobriety.

  24. Sorry for your bad day Kev, but they will come and go for probably more months to come. The good news, now that you have made up your mind to succeed, is you are stronger than the addiction you are more stubborn than the addiction you are smarter than the addiction you are better than the addiction you have more integrity than the addiction you have more discipline than the addiction Hold onto the thought Kev, the truth, that it will get easier. In fact, it will eventually get downright easy to resist smoking. But only if you don't smoke now. Hang tough.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
