  6. Oh Beazel. I am almost as happy for your quitaversary today as I was for my own last week - and I am so very proud of you! You have been a remarkable friend to me (and everyone else) this last year. You have taught me kindness, and compassion, and vulnerability, and quiet humor, and understanding, and patience, and wisdom, with your bringing all these qualities to the board practically every day. I don't say this lightly: you have made it an honor to be on this journey with you. Wishing you a big ol' huge amazing celebration today! You deserve it!

  17. Hi Kevin. You have found the right place for support for your quitting. I was a 2-pack-a-day smoker for many of my 42 years of smoking, and with determination, education about the addiction, and a lot of caring online support I just celebrated my 1 year quitaversary! I know that you can do the same thing too. Welcome aboard.
  18. That wasn't just a dream, that was a nightmare! The addiction will live on in us forever won't it? That's okay, we now know we are stronger and smarter than it is. We choose breathing and life all over again every day. I can't wait to celebrate with you soon!

  25. Hi Gordo. Hang tough and take it one hour and one day at a time. Read and/or watch videos on here as much as you can find time for - education about the addiction is key to being successful at it. And stay close and post often - this place can be a huge support to your quit. We promise that all your quitting symptoms will get better and then go away - but only if you don't smoke! Welcome aboard.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
