  1. I guess it means many things but I’m not giving around $30 per day to cigarettes companies and the government.
  2. I finally came off NRT parches last week and am finding I’m having cravings again. I was was told to use NRT by the quit counsellor. She also said it’s easy to co r off the patch. Compared to first quitting this is easy but it’s still annoying having cravings. There’s been extra vigilance required to keep my quit. Has as anyone else experienced this with NRT? The other thing is while I’m going through this the quit counselling had wound down appointments so I don’t have that support either. Yesh i I guess I’m whining again but I’d rather do that then smoke.
  3. Congrats. This is a great place to be in your quit.
  4. Congrats on your NOPE. No one has offered tobacco products to me thankfully. You up are doing great. The time will come for all of us when tobacco means nothing. We just have to wait it out.
  5. Just be honest. Do you really want messages planted in your head like relapsing is easy/common?
  6. Thank you Jillar I feel like I can safely open it while eating.
  7. I'm scared to open some threads. Boxshitter in particular. I have no idea what it is about but my imagination says wait until food is digested. We seem to have some people here with very good senses of humour which is awesome by the way.
  8. Jillar I'm glad your Mum is ok.
  9. I'm glad you are getting relief from the cold. I'm in the other hemisphere so we will have winter soon. :-(
  10. Take good care during this time of reflection. Sorry to hear you are going through this.
  11. It’s good to not have something to be ashamed of like smoking. I never lied to my doctor, however. That’s an individual personality thing. The shame is common. How we all operate is different.
  12. NOPE! Apparently this might help with our dopamine issues early in our quits.
  13. I made it! ? thank you all. Just FYI I had a nice person next to me on the plane who talked to me. I feel like I’m 5.
  14. About 20 minutes to take off. I’m sitting on the plane guys. Take off is the thing that does me in.
  15. Guys I gotta fly tomorrow on a plane. I have to confess that I don’t fly well. It’s even almost resulted in panic attacks. I’m not sure since I felt so sick physically it could have been that. I wanted to prepare in a way and put it out there that this may be a time when I think about smoking more. Id just appreciate if anyone supported me/shared their experience or something in order to help me through. I will not be able to post when I’m going through this since I’ll be on a plane.
  16. I think I worked it out. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.urbandictionary.com/define.php%3fterm=Tit-Wank&amp=true ??
  17. Well done on surviving into a long term quit. This is my aspiration. May I ask where did the inspiration for your name come from?
  18. One year free. Well done.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
