  1. Congratulations...2 months is dance-worthy
  2. It's the early, trying times of one's quit that shines the spotlight on just how strong and menacing this addiction is. You're right to want to etch these days in your memory. They'll make the emergence to freedom more meaningful. Keep strong Steve. Before you can break out of prison, you must realize you are locked up.
  3. Congratulations Boo. 2 years is kind of a big deal.
  4. Nope....the mere thought of smoking is laughable.
  5. Nope. I like freedom.
  6. 2 months means it’s real. You’ve put up a battle to get here.....now there’s only forward. To freedom and happiness. Congratulations!
  7. My hat’s off to anyone who can get through the physical and psychological crap of the early period of quitting. You’re doing it though. And as long as you see the deception for what it is, there’s nothing to prevent you from coming out victorious. Well done Steve.
  8. I have never tried cottage cheese. And I never will.

  13. Hey Jordan. Welcome and belated congrats on your 3 year anniversary. We'll have to have a really big party for #4 to make up for it.

  17. Welcome Doug. You have made a choice that will ultimately improve your life in almost every way possible. Of course it will probably be quite difficult at times, but the payoff will be enormous. I am not a doctor, but I believe yours is giving you terrible advice not to quit until you get your anxiety under control. Smoking causes breathing problems, which in turn increases anxiety. I used to take an anti-anxiety med because I woke up in cold sweats due to nightly breathing issues. Now I climb mountains. No more meds. No more anxiety. It is amazing just how profound and positive an impact quitting has had on my life. It can be even better for you at age 33. Hope you'll read, learn, post and above all quit smoking. NOPE....not one puff ever!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
