So proud of the Sox. They were relentless all season and post season.
  4. nope
  5. November may be impressive, but June will always hold a special place in my heart
  6. Congratulations IGT. Two weeks is BIG. Before you know it this will become your longest quit ever. Until then, NOPE.
  7. Congratulations GITW. One year is a BFD. Good job.
  8. Take a bow MissyCat. 4 years is worthy of some big time pride.
  9. Celebrate 5 years of wonderful freedom Armed.
  10. Stop the press! Breaking news: Sazerac has traveled in time to a place where freedom and regained health reign supreme. 5 years is quite a distance to travel from the claws of that evil addiction. Congratulations and thanks for all the good you do here.
  11. Congrats MLMR. 2 months is amazing.
  12. nope
  13. My 28 year old son came out for a visit and we went for a hike yesterday. Over 3200 feet of elevation in 9.2 miles. He was absolutely wiped out when we reached the highest point and I was ready to go again. He took this picture and declared: Dad is king of the mountain. Made me feel pretty damn good since for decades I was always the one on the sidelines smoking a butt.
  14. nope
  15. Wish I was still backpacking on Santa Catalina Island. Fitbit shows I did over 75 miles last week and gained over 13,000 feet in elevation. Lost 7 lbs too.
  16. Hi GM. Glad to see you're browsing through some posts. That's a good way to see what's in store for you and how others handled those situations. It's all about knowledge and commitment. You can do it.
  17. Congrats D2! You're a winner. 2 years = cruise ship upgrade
  18. Congratulations MQ. 5 years is a great personal accomplishment. And thanks for being an amazing engineer for this wonderful train.
  19. Can't wait for the ship to dock. I left my tangerine G-string on the shuffleboard deck at the last party.
  20. Heard there may be a few beer drinkers attending. Ordered some Porta-Potties for the Promenade Deck.
  21. Pumpkin Quitting is easy when you're feeling good about yourself. It's those times when life sucks and everything's going sh|tty that your true resolve and commitment are necessary. Take a really long hard look at what's gone wrong and what you need to do right. There is an way to success (hint: NOPE) and it's all within your grasp. P.S. Remember to post an SOS if you're at the point of lighting up.
  22. Did a 5 day backpacking trip on the Trans-Catalina Trail last week. It's one of the Channel Islands off the coast of California. Total of 46 miles end-to-end with a loop back to the ferry. Very up and down steep terrain - but some amazing views. Camped right on the beach and at the higher elevations. Great time. The thought occurred to me that I never would have had such an amazing adventure if I were still a smoker.
  23. Great job Octain. Keep it up!
  24. Congratulations Jayhawks (and Let’s Go Patriots)!
  25. Clear the floor. WW is practicing her moves for the Lido Deck dance. Congratulations on the big 11.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
