Studies show that prancercising is the most effective way of creating social distance. People run for the hills when they see this coming at them. 13

  6. @HeatherDianne, @Lilley, @Nana20 and @JohnQ. Wishing you all success. Sounds like you have similar paths and the same goal of making this quit stick. You can do it, especially with the support of each other. Go team HLNJ.
  7. Fantastic Mac. The foundation gets stronger every day.
  8. I hate to tell you HD, but your lungs and heart don't care why you started again. They just know they're being poisoned and are restarting the horrible disease progression that may lead to an agonizing, early death. The flip side of that dreary coin is that you have it within your power to once-and-for-all get this done. Just accept the fact that smoking is not an option no matter what and you'll be assured success. If you think you have a valid reason to start smoking again you might consider posting an SOS. Reasoning and support usually help pull people back from the ledge.
  9. That's pretty much everything in a nutshell. The only other thing I would keep in mind is that the more the weeks start to add up, the more you need to appreciate all that you've accomplished. You certainly wouldn't want to throw that away and start at day one all over again, right?

  11. Here's another shot. Hardly seems like exercise when this is your destination.
  12. Had to hike almost twice the distance to get to Hidden Lake on Saturday since the usual trail head is still closed. I didn't mind. Total hike was 14.2 miles with 3,658 ft. of elevation gain.
  13. Congrats Wayne.
  14. Congrats Jillar. Your support and encouragement are much appreciated around here.
  15. Southern people ate deep-fried everything Wafle
  16. I asked the 8 Ball Fortune Teller if your decision to quit 8 years ago was wise:
  17. 8 weeks is a great achievement Amie. Good work. Any form of exercise is a great distraction. Keeps the body and mind occupied while helping to fend off the pounds.
  18. You can't be Sirius....6 years? That's a life-changing event.
  19. Orgy

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
