  2. You know, I find now that if I drink too much, at least I don't wake up all stinking and coughing from smoking double. I am not sure why drinking and smoking go together. There are some things now that I actually enjoy less now that I do not smoke. One is drinking and the other is gambling.
  3. Karen, what are you waiting for? Take the NOPE pledge. The only way to kill the demon is to stop feeding it.
  4. Wendy, Congratulations!! :)

  6. Have fun!!!!! :) :D :D
  7. Carlos, I have read that the majority of people who relapse after quitting smoking do so when they are under the influence. When I first quit, I avoided drinking. Then after a month or so I had one drink with dinner. I did have urges when I had that one drink so I waited several months before I got drunk. So, this trip can you wait and not have drinks for awhile?

  16. Welcome Lisa! I smoked with food issues and always was waiting to quit until I resolved the food problem. So, about 30 years went by until I decided to quit smoking, fat or thin, binging eating or not. For me quitting smoking waa the easier of the two issues.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
