  3. Hi, great! I love to hear from people with such successful quits! :)
  4. Amy, congrats! You are doing it! I smoked for over 30 years and I quit seven months ago.,keep close and let us know if you need help.
  5. Lifted weights and did about 2 miles walking outside. I hate the early rising but it is worth it!
  6. :) woo hoo!
  7. I am a big proponent of CBT. A book that helped me in my life was "feeling Good" by Dr. Burns

  11. Smoking one would not do it for me. I am an all or nothing kind of gal. Lately if I get a craving, I think of the cig as taking away something of value from me, like my new ability tto run longer and faster, or my pink complexion. I ask myself if I am willing to give all this up to smoke again.
  12. Nope! Smoking is yucky

  16. I have someone who has worked for me for 20 years. I care about her and her family. She had a major heart attack a few years ago but kept on smoking with the stents in her arteries. Today she felt unwell and was taken to the hospital for her heart again. I am concerned about her and upset that she did not quit or make other life style changes. Smoking sucks the life out of you! It makes you look 20 years older than you actually are. You end up yellowed, shriveled, puckered. And that is just on the outside. It is my goal to stay as healthy as possible, to be strong, to be mobile and active, for as long as possible. Nope.
  17. Buffy, Jeni, come
  18. :) awesome, meow
  19. Jogged 4.26 miles. Ran by the lake again and there were sleeping swans with their head tucked into their wings. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
