  9. Congratulation Jeff! :) :) :)
  10. Bonnie, sending healing and calming thoughts to you and your daughter. ...it seems to me that it is not unusual to think about smoking in a situation like this. This is how we always dealt with stress. Of course it is not going to help. Think of me standing in front of the hospital in a gown with an iv smoking right before I quit and how ashamed I felt when people saw me and how scared I was that I had heart problems. No need to be addicted again like this.
  11. Today, chest, back, shoulders, calf. 30 minutes cardio
  12. No smoking today! Grind it out! Exercise!

  20. It is called strength training. Then did you walk or run on the tread mill? Choose which and the speed. Like, walking, 3mph. Finally, there is a category for elliptical
  21. You can put in each . Put in weight training under cardio. There is a category
  22. Lb, what a story and a very positive outlook. Someone else on these boards discussed being diagnosed with RA after quitting too, can't remember exactly who.
  23. I have become obsessed with seltzer and sparkling water. As far as fish, I love ahi tuna steaks pan fried in olive oil. I have this asian spice rub which is delish. This is good with a side of fresh spinach, leeks and mushrooms also cooked in olive oil in a pan.
  24. I recommit to my goal of exercise and healthy eating. Today I walked with some jogging 4.25 miles
  25. Made my morning protein shake with half of a small haas avocado this morning because of this thread. it did make it thick! 2c unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 avocado, 1 scoop unflavored whey protein isolate; raspberries, ice, shot of raspberry sugarfree syrup. Yumm

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
