  1. It is such a relief not to smoke anymore, to be beyond the beginning stages, to be sucessful. I knew I could quit forever once I quit for one day.
  2. I have put on alot of weight since I quit. My addictive mind wants me to start smoking again to lose weight . So dumb

  19. Hi RC, I smoked for 3o years or so before I quit. I did the patch too for awhile. I think there is no going back now. There is not enough time to smoke for some time and quit again. The body does not bounce back, not at this age. Who needs the deepened voice, the wrinkled mouth, the stale smell, the bad teeth. the sore thorat, the weak lungs? I decided that enough was enough. So, hang out, tought it out, distract, even embrace the suck. It gets better each and every minute

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
