  1. When I first quit, I promise you I posted on every single thread! I would go back days sometimes...or even longer! I would bump really old threads so that I could post on them. My face was everywhere! The point of this is...feel free to do the same. If posting helps you, then post away...we like hearing from you, any way!
  2. Welcome, Craig! I am so very glad you are here...you've been missed!
  3. Good for you...I just wasn't sure. So proud of you!
  4. And that shows why we need people posting and supporting others who are at every stage of their quits...I think some of the most effective are Newbie helping Newbie...
  5. It is so nice for you to offer to help people! Good on you!!
  6. Amy, I agree with the others, the book can be a tremendous help. I am not clear...have you quit, again?
  7. Just think! One year from today we can have the biggest party EVER!! You will be quit for a year and it will be your birthday! What a celebration we will have!!

Love, Love, Love your new picture, you gorgeous thing!!
  11. Amy, when I was using IE, I could not quote or copy and paste. When I changed to Google Chrome...everything worked great! It worked for Rain, too...
  12. I am partial to dancing elephants for Ava!!
  13. So glad you have joined us, Laura! Congratulations on your decision to quit!!
  14. Please do some more reading, Amy...it is an addiction...and you enjoy the relief of feeding the addiction. Believe me, I turned down fun events, movies, trips, huddled in freezing cold, crawled out of bed when seriously ill...all to get my fix. Smoking was how I dealt with happy, sad, mad, stress, rewards, it ran my life. I do not want that life for you until you are my age...please think about that as you consider how much you "like" to smoke.
  15. My heart is broken for you....I would not wish starting over on anyone. With that said, let us know when you are ready to climb aboard the forever train...we are here. And absolutely no judgement...it took real courage to admit the choice you made...

Woop Woop!!!! You formed a perfect plan...knew you could do it. I totally endorse and approve the junk food, as well. Way to go, dear Rachael!!

Got it for you, Marti: Rachael, you know you don't really want a cigarette and you know it won't fix sh**...so suck it up and deal with it. oh and P.S. if you need to punch someone in the face because they are being a DB... then do it :) you'll feel tons better than if you had smoked and you can make someone's nose bleed!
  19. Nancy replied to leahcaR's topic in The S.O.S. Board
Rachael! Stop right this second and listen up!! You will not smoke....those jerks are not worth it...and it would not do a thing for you but make you feel crappier. You have been on this board long enough to see people who said "last time I quit it was so easy...why am I so miserable this time?" Or even sadder..."I was just going to have one, and all of a sudden I've been smoking for 15 more years..." So you have to work with imbeciles...your smoking is not going to make them one bit smarter or nicer. It will just make you hate yourself as well as them. You are way stronger than this!!
  20. Good for you, Amy! Take care of those cravings any way except smoking!!
  21. Very happy for you!!
  22. "I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words... When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise [disrespectful] and impatient of restraint" (Hesiod, 8th century BC)
