Nope from me Jac, always with ya :) -
I tried an e cig, and it made me wanna smoke. I know some utter beauties here that did the e cig/vape route and used it to quit, some on this site. I'm gonna say I think it's better then smoking a cig. I dunno what's in them but what's in a cigarette scares me silly now and I truly believe it's better then that. With a cut down plan in my mind it's just another form of NRT, al be it, a less tested one...but someone had to guinea pig patches/gum etc and still better then smoking. I buy into any effort to kick nicotine apart from gradual withdrawal cause that is pretty awfulfrom my experience. Support her Nat and show her nicotine free is not as scary as it seems. If she has a plan, back it up. I had many a practise quit but it's all good now, I got this. Sounds like you do too and I'm super pleased for you. If she needs a crutch then so be it. xx

I want to say thank you to you for this post. Selfishly, for me. I've been feeling a bit jaded by it all and you've reminded me why I'm here, why I do this and visit this board to help others. For health, for the sake of sanity and being real with ourselves, so thank you. For you. I am so pleased you had that gut feeling and instinct that it was time. I honestly think it is inbuilt in us all and it's too scary to think what might have been. It would be pretty cool to see you on the exercise and healthy living section to see you giving some hints and tips. After all, a load of us could really use some advice. Above all else, 8 months seems to suit you sir :) Brilliant work, feel better completely soon. Love to Aine. x

Hey Jules, in late, massive congrats on 19 days!! There are weird points thatcome and slap you about, sounds like you just did that but it's only a thought and always a choice. It absolutely gets easier! Honest it does. Each trigger or situation where you would have smoked that you face down is easier the next time. I have whole days where I don't consider a cig at all and that happened quite quickly in comparison to smoking 30-40 per day and 20+ years. When you get the thoughts or feelings, post, get distracted and tell yourself NOPE, not one puff ever (just for today) and Smoking is not on the table. x

I subbed his crisps for low cal ones, skips (76 calories), quavers (89) and frisps are lower then walkers. He hasn't noticed lol. I'm not too worried about the rolls, I just bought smaller ones then he had before and that's all cool. But his breakfast is a cup of tea and a flask of coffee, so some carbs are good. It's the grab a snack stuff I need to work on. I tried cucumber sticks and he mumbled about manly men and rabbits haha. Carrots are ok though..go figure! So healthier snacks. Like maybe ritz crackers or something, are they any good? -
Seen this amazing pic already my lovely. Awesome work!! Stronger in every way :) x

My Chris needs a diet, bless him. His decision before I get lynched :) He is a mobile mechanic so physically active. What could I pack for his lunch that won't compund the weight problem? He always had 2 rolls, 2 crisps, breakfast bar and some other snacks. I have subbed one crisps for fruit. What other calorie effective options could I use? He is basically doing what he always did but eating more cause of quitting 6 months ago, so need kinda snack ideas I can pack to keep him from doing himself in with unhealthy calories. What do other guys have for lunch?? He thinks salad should go in a sandwich with real food (meat). One of those guys  but has asked for my help and suggestions, so I thoughts I might get some ideas from you guys? Sure for a while at least he will listen as we holiday in a month and he wants to diet for that. Thanks in advance. x

I tried it but kept getting the giggles, which kinda ruled out the benefit :) I liked zumba once upon a time tho and my sis did it 4 times a week (with no other exercise) and slimmed down and ended up with actual abs. Dancing like that (zumba, pole, belly) works all the core and leg muscles together so is an absolute win. I keep considering getting that hip hop abs by Shawn t for this reason? I would say if you can take it seriously then it would be good. Whether one class a week would be enough to do what you want I'm not sure though. x
