  1. Cheaters never prosper! I am concerned, not at you, but at some - (Shhhh I don't even think they can count!) Off to practice 1 - 20 with my 4 year old (Shhh, she does a better job) Now let's talk about gloating.....
  2. yeah I tried that...14 years ago...just quit again now. Was only having the one.... Jess, No matter what you feel just carry on walking away from it. You don't want it in your life that's why you quit. Read up on Junkie thinking. It's the thought that says just one puff, just one and before we know where we are the whole damn addiction thing is re-activated and we're thinking, no need to quit, I will cut down.... It doesn't stop there. Hope you ok sweetie. It's tough at times, I know it is. But with every nope and bad trigger faced your quit gets stronger and longer. Keep the faith chickie. xx
  3. It really does feel like a battle won and sounds that way for you too. Great work! Agreed each time you face down triggers and win, your quit gets stronger!
  4. Now listen here fella me lad, there'll be none of this cheatin talk. It's ok to not be able to count hun, don't let anyone tell you that you ain't a special one :) Window for 1!! 0

  20. Try and remember you are going into battle with your addicted part of your brain. If you just don't smoke today (don't think past that) you will win the battle step by step. Distraction is great. Moving is great sips of water, sucking air through a straw, hard boiled sweets, saying Nope over in your head... Any of that is better and you will be so happy to wake up tomoz on day 6 I promise you! x
  21. Aww honey, I remember this time. It might feel harder but in liklihood the thoughts are further apart so may feel more intense when you feel them - does that make any sense? lol. Don't be blindsided by the addiction reminding you that you use to smoke. Just smile and say to your brain ah we don't do that anymore thanks. It really does pass! I rarely think of smoking now. Nothing like those 1 month days. I remember whinging to my sister around the 6 week mark that I was plain fed up of smoking thoughts and they would never end - she just smiled and said wouldn't everyone relapse if it were awful forever!! Truely, it passes if you simply don't smoke each day. xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
