You can nut them, but don't let them nut on you :)

  2. Lest we forget. Lit candles for my grandads and all others, past and present.
  3. Chanting, lol. Sorry. Chantix.
  4. Sorry, so late. I had to ditch the chanting, it sent me mental. Dreams, anxiety, mood swings etc. I sympathize is my point. BUT it was all worth it for today. Just choose to keep marching. You are doing amazing Jesus. You are winning a battle for your own freedom. Read bandit,s post of how much healing and financial benefits you have. I am cheering for you. Stay strong. Early night, live to fight another day? Last thing, I always found a great day followed a bad one and the tough times. . . That was when my quit grew stronger! You are doing it, be proud! Loves. X
  5. Nope on remembrance Sunday, lest we forget.
  6. Holidays! But still here.
  7. It will be back, I promise. Sometimes we need the mental break I think. Sometimes I still get a bit kinda numb, but I just run with it and do better at feeling the feelings I have now. You are on a journey, I think we all forget that too. It's a great destination with some turbulence. What I have found is going through the harder times made my quit more solid. X
  8. I love this buddy. Foolish to smoke when we know what we know. So proud to be free. So sick of hearing smoking justified so thanks. X
  9. This topic interested me. I asked the same thing early quit and everyone was all, nah it calms and you're you again. Maybe I'm not far enough in? I'm not the same! I never realized how much I believed I was strong, but actually ran away a lot. Smoke and whinge lol. I feel like I am changing every day. Yes, I did emotional but now that's gone I do self worth a whole lot better. Not argumentative or combative but "nope" comes around in more than quitting for me and I am so pleased! My "New skin" is a work in progress, as should yours be. We spend a long time dealing with things via addiction and now we know this, we can learn new and better ways. It's like we finally get to be who we always should have been! Not the cranky, emotional bit, that passes. We are the ones who sing to survivor or maybe a bit of gold by spandal ballet :) for what it's worth, my advice is run with the changes rather then fight to stay stuck where you were. Most come out with less fear and more self worth. That's kinda cool! X
  10. Oh Jackie I missed it all. So sorry my friend. Sending strength now. So pleased you feel like this about your quit though. Ultimately, it's us against nicodemon and we sometimes have a battle. Be strong my lovely, loves. X
  11. Wow, love you but ewww nope.
  12. I hear your nope and raise you my hell nope.
  13. I think we don't give ourselves enough credit and notice the bad more then the good sometimes. I felt like after hard times came great days. After hard months (3) came a peaceful month. Sometimes I think we forget how hard it was to white knuckle those early times. I appreciate a whole lot more peace now if it helps to know. I have thoughts, but I think about pastries and ice cream a lot without eating it as it's bad for my hips! No it's not the same but you know what I mean. Newbies need not be scared by people remembering they would have smoked here but don't smoke now. My (long winded lol) point is feel the feeling and move on. By acknowledging it exists but that you choose not to smoke as anymore, you take the strength from the thought and it fizzles to nothing. Sending strength. Xx
  14. The thing about bad times is we grow. Quits do that too sonic. X Nope.
  15. Nope.
  16. Late but wanted to say you are not alone. My first smoking though free day was at almost five months. I ran the fake it till you make it and threw my support into helping others. There are break through moments that add to your mind set but ultimately not smoking gets the job done at the end of the day. Sorry your moments are tough for now. X
  17. The time span amazes me. I don't think they know me, I can't quit?! However, my ticker would disagree. You see, I have almost 8 months and a holiday with the funds under my belt! It's proper weird to me! Let me say this. If I commit to it, it will happen. That's how I smoked for so many years. Also how I choose not to smoke now. Still, my mum has the holiday trigger, I get it but nope. I think they smoke in more places here then at home but nope! I knew I would have holiday triggers but am still surprised because my quit feels like home to me already. So I nope again, it's ok to reinforce that but kinda surprising. 8 months on the horizon :) bring it! No price on my freedom!
  18. Totally, it feels SO intense! No, it won't be like that forever! Every time you face that feeling, it has less power over you. Those who make it sound hard forever (shh dramatic lol). I too promise it gets easier. The forum saved me and others, so post, it's why we hang out here, to help. Day 3 now? Much love and support. X
  19. Need help updating the calendar this month. I am a proper idiot on this kindle :( please update your anniversaries so we don't miss anyone. Much love qt.

I too had one, I understand your nerves. ((Gabby)) Hoping for the time to fly until you get good results. Xx
  22. Nothing to fear but fear itself. Nope Today and always.
  23. Welcome and I look forward to sharing your journey with you. Reading the newbie stuff is an eye opener, and post away for how you're feeling as people here are really supportive and understand where you are coming from. Xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
