  1. Congrats on the first quarter won Nats. Hope to see you soon, miss your face around the boards :) xx
  2. BOOM!!! Big up, whoop whoop!! Free at last and then planning the sady sady route to "unfree" yourself ;) . Unfree isn't really a word is it, never mind. Massive congrats on the quarter Jac, love you lots like jelly tots. x

  10. Joy shared, I read and smiled a happy smile for you :) Go Sarah!! Hope the meal is wonderful and the day stays fabulous!
  11. NOPE from sunny England...oh wait.... lol but actually, touch wood, it's not forecast to rain today!! Huzzah!!
  12. 10 min walk, 5 min jog, 25 mins yoga
  13. We can use those moments to secure our quit now. To realize those babies, no matter how old, need and genuinely want us at times - how lovely is it they don't wait anymore :) I second the feeling though, it feels pretty bad. xx
  14. I have no advice but just wanted to say how fabulous for your son!! x
  15. Great news!! Rest easy. Also a heads up, I just noticed you're quitting cold turkey, maybe get some fruit juice tomoz and take sips ofit every couple of hours. Your blood sugars jump around a bit (something to do with chemicals in cigs) and they can feel a bit like a crave and or/make you feel tired. The natural lift of a fruit juice helps and also moves the nicotine out your system quicker if it's cranberry juice. Any will help if you don't like cranberry though. Today when you wake you will complete 72 hours and the last of your nicotine will be gone from your body!! Don't forget the key here is distraction. Sips of cold water. Click your fingers. Suck air through a straw. Hard boiled candy. Jumping from foot to foot. Using the work NOPE either in your head or out loud. Go for a power walk...all exercise stops a crave dead in it's tracks. Any of these may help :) x
  16. hey and welcome. Just do it and get it done :) Quitting is mental, meditation will definately help, great choice! Look forward to reading you. Post, a lot, it helps. We want to be there for you too so asks anything whenever it enters your mind. Games on the social bit kept me in touch with the site when I needed friends but didn't want to "talk". I am excited for your freedom! It really is fabulous later on and worth the journey I promise. xx
  17. Aww Colleen, can't you speak to someone and ask if low impact (ie yoga, pilates etc) is plausible? x 10 min fast walk, 5 min jog, 15 mins yoga, 10 mins pilates today I was mostly indecisive about what I wanted to do lol.
  18. I am a 3 tree house :) And lots of singing things and a big ol NOPE to fund my tree fetish ;)
  19. He's very cute :) Also nuts!! I did borrow some cats recently but I had to give them back so we were "petless" prior to Mad Max's arrival!
  20. He absolutely is a handful! He will be a wonderful family pet though, he is very cuddly and full of energy. It's technically for my Mum. Hoping a dog companion will help her be slightly more mellow and give her some focus almost. Plus the kids and I are obviously here to pick up the slack and do the playing bit, should work out great. He does have "small man" syndrome though and barks at nothing. Defo needs some training but we expected that. All good.
  21. Jen, I am really pleased to see you back and look forward to you posting how proud your child is again! It makes a difference to us Mums (moms?) that we set a good example. Powerful post, I am excited for your freedom!! Smoking really does bring nothing of any benefit to our lives and pretty soon it becomes an occassional weird thought. All you have to do is NOPE and face those triggers down until they get so quiet it's odd to hear them. xx
  22. Mama's feet, and the recycle box - oops lol.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
