  1. Watch out for that caffeine guys, crack isn't a bad description lol. Oneistoo, I am so proud of how you're tracking. Sorry saying patches instead of lozenges...both you and jen, not smoking is HUGE ...all roads lead to rome with the right mentality, there isn't a right or wrong other than don't smoke! Amazing quits to watch :) x
  2. An I can walk again after mondays insanity so actually walked. Year of the fit, boom!! So gym, tomoz then? :)
  3. Date night with your own hubby...cleaner then I thought haha. How fabulous though if you don't get to get out and about together often. Sure your leg bling will be amazing :) x
  4. Sausage and raw onion is an outright winner Big breakfast sandwich bacon, egg, sausage, lashings of ketchup Toasted ham and cheese Egg Mayo Man I really miss sandwiches being a staple diet!! Oh and those soft rolls with cheese on the top are the best rolls ever! Anything with branston, anything with salad cream SUBWAY!! Nostagic times :(
  5. In 12 sleeps you will have 1 whole entire life affirming year of not smoking!! Literally 2 dozen days!! BOOM!! Read a book and went all Romeo done. You are amazing with your continued strength to support every person, no matter the situation. The humour you bring has lightened the journey for me and others! We can attribute your brute force to your scottish heritage, went all braveheart on the quit :D Separate to that, you are a fantabulous quit buddy. Much love dude. Let the celebrations BEGIN....
  6. It depends what you want to get from it. Spain is beautiful. Good for wandering round places of interest although I don't know northern spain specifically. Africa is much more raw. And hot but you'll probably be ok with that :) There are a ton of smaller visits they arrange but it's mostly about safari's and the animals wake early..so the safari's are early. For me, Africa would win every time but I see most people think Spain. Maybe because I've done bits of spain. The scenery is breath taking and there are lots of old places to see (which I like) and they seem quite art gallery ish (which is not for me, maybe you though). Perhaps it's worth googling places of interest in the part you want to visit...to see if you're actually interested?
  7. NML feels sucky but is a really crucial part of the quit. It actually feels like month 3 was probably the "cement it in"month, all those rinse and repeat thoughts are your junkie DYING off, although I appreciate it feel different. It's not though and take it from one who trudged wearily too, it is your junkie brain in a go big or go home call back...do not listen!! Message people, post tripe, hit up the swear thread, stay in touch here and we can keep your sparkle alive. I always tried to remember two things. 1. After a hard day, an easy, or even a few easy days would come. 2.That a lot of people struggled in this time frame, but had later happy quits so it has to end right! I promise you it's worth it. And keep reality about you, it's just thoughts, nothing like the early days, just lots of thoughts. How many dumb things have we done by thinking about them...probably loads :) Don't let the thoughts take hold is all. x
  8. and that is how it's done :) Funny how many smokers believe they are "saving you" by offering you "just the one". You have a good buddy there and a good quit, double win! x
  9. Aww bless your heart but Belle's birthday is the same as the bandits one year...big day :) Just happy I could help. x
  10. All ordered for you. How urgently do you want them? My sister is over here in feb, goes back the 15th so could post from florida then? Or I can do international post if you want them sooner. Either or. Will let you know when they arrive. x
  11. So the 2nd set on the pic I posted? 2nd in from the left has one of each stamp and is a basic set?
  12. I hope he/she managed to quit then. It's so very true, most, not all (hail chrispy!) need more than one attempt sadly. What a brilliant mantra though generally, never stop trying, might build that in myself :)
  13. what ya gurning at? Just let me know if I need to join in :) Was all ...over the pond friends...oh...pick me pick me...and then brutal dumpage... sad sad times. But if I'm needed again, please say and I can feel all special once again lol

  18. I love yoga!! Sun salutations is yoga isn't it, warrior is a yoga pose, oops, should have checked first lol. Mine gave me some superb core and upper body strength without making me muscly, I like Tara Lee :) So I did insanity. Who knew you had muscles on the outside top of your thighs but you do and ouchy! First time in a long time I've felt sore after exercise...pretty excited to go back nest week. At the end I saw my reflection and thought "oh look, I resemble a ribena berry" (blackcurrent juice for our overseas brigade) haha. I was maroon!! 20 mins of yoga and a 20 min walk today to take it easy :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
