    Sigh. . .

I'm pleased for you that you have a plan. Hoping the garden brings you some joy despite what it isn't. x
  2. nope.
  3. I am here without wine...shocking!
  4. Did we all get it...well this came up powerfully in my one year thoughts: Then came the deeper understandings. I cried the day I realized I would never have "just one" again. It felt like a grieving moment. I knew it was sick, but it was hard for me. I hated the cravings/triggers, how very dare they try and come for me, I raged, I cried (A LOT) and one godawful night in April some precious folk talked me down off the most horrible emotional ledge, I still cry if I read my own SOS from back then. I felt like I literally was in battle with myself. How do you make it through? Exactly as you're doing!! You simply don't put anything in your mouth and set it on fire and then you've won! You are already a non smoker, so a thought to smoke is only a thought. (You might be fabulous but I have MANY dumb thoughts and I push them out too.) Tell it! yeah literally, tell it to go forth, it can't have you, you're going to be free (gritted teeth are acceptable) So yeah that's the bad side...let's flip it! How many good thoughts do you have where you feel proud you are a non smoker now. The relief at not having to find a place to smoke. You can buy stuff cause woohoo, you have some money now! For some people they just quit and are all "TADA" non smoker :) Some of us have to process the thoughts and emotions, it just is what it is. March on through. Thoughts can't do anything to you, smoking is bad news! Going to bed to regroup is all good. Live to fight another day. xx

  21. I wasn't around when sarge was quitting. But it must be said some of the newbies, very much including runfree, are showing us how it should (could?) have been done!
  22. Super cute grandbaby Babs :) I heard the international happiness day and thought it was to do with the spring equinox! How fab a country did that. Perhaps I should have posted a pic of my babies and of course they make me smile and sweat, smile more haha. But this review on my bewitching faceook page of a card reading I did in January shows me how far I have come and has made me smile and feel deep happiness. The cards were a quit treat too!! Alison Scott: Martine, you, I feel, have a real gift. The reading and way you laid it out is so spot on it has literally given me goosebumps. I shall take this all on board, and have to say when you said, very near future for another positive change, again, absolutely bang on. It was positive and now really does feel like i shall lighten up on achieving major goals and just focus my energy on nurturing the buds of growth that are there. Thank you so much Martine, this really has helped me enormously. Much love and blessings to you and your guides. Thank you. Ali xx Of course the song happy makes me happy too...but I just don't dare haha. x
  23. 3 months is amazing!! Great work. Eyes on the prize chicky...days are coming where you don't even crave, it's just fleeting thoughts... Keep marching RF. Much love. x
  24. A full on happy happy Spring Equinox/Ostara NOPE from me :) xx
  25. oh and night nurse every time for overnight. Take about an hour before bed and then you'll be drousy and drop off quickly. Don't forget vicks vapo rub on your chest for a cold, or on the middle part of the sole of your foot with cotton socks over for a cough.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
