  1. Probably not one of my finer need to google moments then, sorry, lol. Lovely, thanks all, have written them down so I can have tv forever more :)
  2. Watching Grimm now (bricking it every time I watch) but need to line up new series. Watched Vikings recently and thought that was awesome (good suggestion DD), didn't like breaking bad? Watched game of thrones and had nightmares lol (pansy) but it was good. What next.

Lol, at Chrispy, I too have many "draft" copies :D . Cheri, May I suggest a blog and leave it in draft overnight. If in the morning it still sounds ready for human consumption then post it ;) We've all been there. xx
  4. Boast to us Ria :) We think you're all kinds of amazing!! x
  5. Well I am super pleased you didn't smoke, that would've been dreadful! That said, I am sorry something/one hurt you. xx Natural lifts for mood?? Yoga, meditation, practising gratitude, inner child work, self love (no bakon!!), nature, scents.... lots of ways to help ourselves sweetie....but even then sometimes a good wallow day is needed...but not smoking, never that.
  6. Wow and I thought my budget brand at £7.81 was extortionate! Even this far into my quit I still notice how much more available money I have (probably as I had none before lol) and it still makes me smile. Apart from this month, this month I'm proper poor but I know how it happened and I had lots of fun :D Your poor friend, hopefully one day....
  7. We now have a queen with the longest reign in history of English Monachs :) and nope. x
  8. Thanks guys :) I had a good day and had a lovely yearly review :) One of my posted this for me, how cool is that! And I wrote this and meant it as much for folks here as elsewhere, some true diamonds I have been blessed to find, so thank you: So I'm 40 officially today and I have been spoilt with gifts and words, note that words and actions always mean more to me. I feel blessed to believe this but I had a good life yesterday and a good life today - no different, so that's me and mine all sorted. There is loads I "get" now and a fair bit I will never understand...I guess it's lies that you become a grown up at any stage smile emoticon My thoughts are still.... life is short, enjoy it as best you can with those who matter! My eternal gratitude to my tribe of friends and connections, you will know who you are. Much love and gratitude for the post QT. x
  9. birthday nope :)
  10. 6 hours round trip is bad, that's just too long! I would say lake if weather is nice. Who cares if it's packed, outdoors always wins.
  11. And breath there. Some days huh! Much love. x
  12. I miss Sarah, she always made me laugh. I also miss Gabby but am pleased to see Amy hanging round again :) I often think of Juan, one day he will get there, I'm sure of it. I often wonder if slovenka made it, I really really hope so. I would agree with jackie and Soberjulie but I managed to get the on facebook so I like that I can still see pics etc.
  13. omg yes!! I actually dreamed I was calling myself a piggy over and over again - I'm even annoyed at myself asleep now haha.
  14. You poor love, that sounds like a sad sad place you had to be. Let me offer my sympathies for your friend and of course you. Sounds like you're going through the mill more than your fair share right now, sending virtual hugs and some strength to you. xx I know a lot of us here relapsed and I am not here to pass judgement on something I did myself to you. But I do want to offer this logic in the spirit of I needed to hear it and perhaps it will help you. We will always create a "reason" to smoke, a "I had no choice" scenario. I say this safe in the knowledge that I too created these reasons at all stages of previous quits. While we are still fighting those demons with the just one's and just now's etc, we are at risk. It helped me to actually accept that non smokers and ex smokers alike, also experienced stress and didn't smoke. Oftentimes these never and ex smokers were in the same situation as me too, like in exactly the same place physically or mentally. Make your stand! Draw your line and tell yourself, No matter what, smoking is not on the table, nope, smoking can kiss my ass...whatever your favoured way of propelling yourself forward is because you can do this! We can all do this! Not one of us is less addicted/has a quitting nature/addictive personality - that is all bulls**t that we told ourselves and now need to "unlearn". And then after that, you smoked a couple of puffs, and what?? it's done now. Life is simply too short to dwell on things, understand for yourself why it honestly happened, how to avoid it and move forward. xx
  15. No matter what can literally save lives! Great post TEW. It takes a sustained level of commitment to break an addiction that has become so interwoven with your life. Thing is, you will always feel pride at keeping going and it will always be better for you of course.
  16. Bakon. xx
  17. Ok, I'm going in whoop whoop (that's a submarine noise for the uninitiated)........ I actually don't know where Tracey is from, hasn't she defected to the dark side? Sure it was near Manchester airport though so northern? Doreen is rubbing her hands in glee I see but the liverpuddlians are truly lovely people. Still northern in location. Stu is Scottish, I mean I know we have to call it "british" but that's a group of 4 countries. It's a whole other country :) Lil old me is Southern. Originally from the far reaches of London (outskirts) and now I'm a hobbit (live in the shires, Buckinghamshire) but born and bred London. I'm gonna call us unique :) We have our own way of talking bruv, not the fella's to be messin wiv init. When we wanna catch folk out we switch to slang or cockney rhymes - which were in their day a different line of speaking so that the news boys of old London could converse without the posh folk catching their drift (cathching the meaning of what they said) and it's pretty tricky to switch out of! :) Will try and make more sense but make no promises haha.
  18. I wonder if there's even one appropriate present for my 40th next week? My Mum has already told me she's excited and has bought me some cream to sort my face out.... she doesn't see that may sound a little insulting - see earlier quandry about staying sober or just getting drunk when meeting up with mutiples of these fools at the weekend.....
  19. PS I wonder who what sonic is doing? Will it ever stop raining here, 3 days now, I need to dry my washing!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
