Aww I love everyone, how would I pick one buddy?? Should I have done that?

Don't ever doubt your contribution Miss Sarah. You've made people smile, you've shown the way for people behind you too - remember guests see our posting, they see you doing it and think maybe I can.. There are already a couple of newer people behind you watching and hoping they can make it to where you are! Then there's those like me, and bug, who are securing our quit by supporting you. Then you got bandito and action who want to pay it forward, like people who helped them. Just by trucking through each day, posting and talking, you ARE supporting others. I think this is why the term quit train was coined :)

haha charmed are we ;) -
Attaboy! x

What you've come up with is whatI did in trigger situations. Cling to that bottle of water and take sips when the crave hits, it distracts your brain momentarily. Mint gum or hard boiled sweets to suck were my other attack method. Brilliant ideas. Also a small one that might help is to click your fingers as craves hit, it gave me something to do with my hands? xx

quit dare lol, sort out the predictive action :) -
I've worn glasses since 17 so can't comment on the age thing, but no, 43 is not old age, stoopid man. "imagine there, there conversation). Glasses, I think the oversized jobbies look ridiculous on everyone (how many people have I just offended lol), so go for something classic looking and stylish. Robs idea of looking for celebs who wear them with a similar face shape to yours is sterling, try that.

Yay Happy St George's Day (even if he was a foreigner lol). Drinking my cup a rosy as we speak :) Cheers England, we love you even with the rain!

For Iam, Sarah and Anna. 3 people on one quit date, the 16th was an awesome win for sense over tobacco companies!!
-
Amy, oh man, I am so gutted for you. I've been there and if smoking came with no consequences than that would be lovely, but it doesn't. Can we get the quit date set? Can we agree to post an sos. I think the reason you believe it wouldn't have worked is you'd set yourself up for this for over a day, if you feel like this again put an sos the moment that junkie thinking starts to take hold, let us help you beat it back so getting through is easier. The further you get along your journey, the more you realize you WANT this non smoking life. In the early days here your addiction is still strong and raw and fighting to drag you back in. I will hold your hand if you want, talk daily, post often but please get back on the train. xx

just seen!

Soozie, Noooo, I was getting real excited at the thought of putting your celebration thread on. Of course step back on and that said, I missed you too and will support your new improved quit. x But ask yourself why Sue, you need to know why you stepped off, no sos, no qualms. No judgement honey but because you need a plan of how that won't happen next time. ... that said let's do this and work on that plan!! x

Hi Laura, Welcome in and pleased to meet you. How are you quitting today? If you are using nicotine products it won't be a worry but if you're not it will really help you to get some fruit juice and take sips otherwise you start to feel tired. To do with blood sugars and nicotine. Post in the quit smoking discussion forums if you want tips and guidance for anything you're facing. Other than that I just want to say, breath through the craves and you are doing an amazing thing for your health, congrats. x
-
you are doing it, and that is how it's done. One step, one crave and you fight, and eat, and trudge one foot in front of the other. And no smoking allowed, because it's off the table for us now and we stand together. Nearly a new milestone..one foot in front of the other. xx

Rach have you got this now babe? xx

^^^ wish I was clever and could do that copy paste thing, but this is what you said. Just don't. What's got you riled up, can we go deck someone instead?? I'm remote, bugger, can we give someone hell via the airwaves. None for you cheating, I love how you write, it inspires me!! Can you smack someone instead?
-
Posted 06 April 2014 - 12:07 AM Rachael, you know you don't really want a cigarette and you know it won't fix sh**...so suck it up and deal with it. oh and P.S. if you need to punch someone in the face because they are being a DB... then do it :) you'll feel tons better than if you had smoked and you can make someone's nose bleed! :)
