  1. Is it exercise? Or the weight loss this week? Or the conversations? Or just time? Or that mad ass crave where I lost my emotional load last week? I feel ok, like someone released my happy valve to just be ok again. I'm even planning on some intention work next week which I haven't been clear enough really to do since before I quit, my concentration was too sketchy. Scheduled in exercise, practice runs of things I want to do, that's massive for me!! I could do it now I think but don't want to push too hard, feel scared I might go backwards and really don't want that. I still think about not smoking, never about wanting to smoke. Just that I would and I don't and some days that shizzle is on a long ass loop and some days it's not now, but I'm ok, it's just there on repeat play, trucking along in the background. Rather then the full on no smoking show that was at the forefront of my mind so often, not bad, just there. It's me so I'm going to wonder what it is that caused a change. Perhaps I will post to ask. Perhaps not. I like that I feel good today, I like that I felt good yesterday, I like being ok and a non smoker, I LOVE THAT!
  2. Tabata description: The idea is to increase your heart rate to its maximum by “going completely mental” for 240 seconds. This is supposed to give you both aerobic and anaerobic benefits (both cardio and muscle workout). But we’re talking about four minutes of pain. Fare thee well kind friends, I will die smoke free I assure you ;) haha. Maybe on friday then when there are no kids to crawl after!
  3. I don't want to spend any money on anything at the moment. I promised my girls disneyland in October, it's what finally prompted me to quit. Whilst I have done little treats here and there I really want that holiday for us so don't want to spend out on classes, memberships, posh shoes etc. After christmas and next year, then I can do some things for me and yes, a gym may well come into that. Also my timings are weird with a child at full time school, another at nursery and a full time caring role for my mum. So I have pockets of time here and there. It's all good, found a couple of things I won't mind doing and feeling a nice but not bad burn on my legs today after yesterdays workout. I got up to 10st 11lbs, I'm not a tall woman, so this doesn't look right on me so need to shift it back to 9 1/2 ish, not worried about specifics, just healthy weight and fit in my clothes :) I will have a look at Tabata Pippa, thanks :) 3 times a week is right for exercise isn't it?
  4. Lol Gem, when is this bodily abuse due to end? How long you here for hun?
  5. Bin men woke me up on the day I could have a lay in. Meh.

  7. 4 months is brilliant, you're doing amazing! x
  8. I get free text, take my number and live vicariously if you like :) Or just have a brilliant time and enjoy your holidays. x
  9. Love this analogy, so true. Free in many ways now :)
  10. Through your ups and downs, quite literally if you consider the pub, you have made it!! You owned this quit from the minute you decided nope and I am greatful to share my journey with yours. Massive congrats and great job!! xx :yahoo:
  11. Soozie has 1 week under her belt, massive congrats!! :good3: Doing an fab job honey, keep going, you deserve this quit. xx
  12. Did the i pod check, no one around, singing well I thought - some sneaky so n so had crept out there house or something and gave me that "you idiot" smile. Oh, fail.

  13. I cannot park for s...well yeah, it's bad, my 8 year old compliments me when I'm close as a mini pep talk lol. Sharon, well jel!!
  14. Where there is 1st world problems as a thread, there needs to be an opposite - light and dark :) So my win for today that matters not a jot to any other human being is - I parked well, it was straight and right next to the curb without going up on the verge :good: Victory! Boom! What's your win of the day?
  15. I have found some nice chirpy lady on fitness tv who does yoga and says ass a lot. She's pretty real, I like her honesty, yes thank you my lovely, if I am working I want it to count, especially in the region you propose needs fixing. I'm not beyond asking for assistance and believe you when you say this will work. So Monday mornings are sorted. Having eliminated belly dancing, walking, running, bike riding and sex for various reasons, I have today discovered beach body. I mean I don't have a beach body, obviously, my bod is extending over and above yoga pants, god only knows what would occurif I put a bikini on! Waif like bimbo birds assure me I will have a "hot" "beach body" in no time if I follow their plan. you two lovely bimbettes have just won my tuesday afternoon when the ex has the kids for access visits. So i have Friday morning left and need something else. Cardio or dancing thoughts are in my head. But first I must check if I have all the stuff required for the achy legs I already possess cause ow! I am feeling happy and chirpy. Life is alright today. Tomorrow morning is not looking hopeful (on feeling alright, i think these legs will hurt) so I will enjoy today. Exercise this week and start regrouping on the work front next week I think. Time to get my slightly larger butt off of the I don't smoke program and back into the really real world where life just goes on.
  16. I understand that, you also need something for you and your brain. Assuming you get carers allowance you may be entitled to some financial support towards college courses?? Have you got the job centres number or a case worker person thingy?
  17. Found a yoga thing and some crazy beach body tone thing. It is clear I am sadly, not, beach ready like the skinny bimbo says...but I'm sure I will be waif like in no time flat :) God bless fitness tv and you tube for free stuff yay! Floaty light here I come!
  18. fandabbydosey!! Super chuffed Action, brilliant news and I bet a relief. xx
  19. brilliant news honey and wow, massive congrats again!! You are marching towards the two month mark nextweek hun! I'm pleased you were crave free but you forget how insensitive smokers can be at times. good work by you though. x
  20. go on, go on, go on, ;) Yeah that's the best irish I got, it's bad isn't it - unlike your hard fought for quit - brilliant work!! 7 months is fabulous!!
  21. I love this, let's all breath it out together lol. I love the hot tub one. Yeah I sound like a complete grouch at the time but within minutes I think hey, not so bad. My new 1st world problem is even thought it was forecast to rain, and looked really cloudy -it's didn't rain - so I actually could have done my bedding which double annoyed me lol.
  22. I can only do something at home, due to finances and timings. I just don't know if I should aim Cardio - like dancing fitness, or weights, or maybe yoga/pilates type thing to build core muscles? Not sure where to start. In honesty I won't want to do any of it, bit like quitting for me I think, the thought is worse than the actual thing ;)
  23. The relapses worry me too ya know. Let's not do that!! You and I, we won't because we choose not to smoke, you know enough not to do that - and it's that simple!! The rest is excuses/choices/others, not you. You're quit. x
  24. AWESOME JOB...but hey, who could doubt Buffy or you :) Massive congrats. xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
