  1. Thanks guys, really nice to read some positive vibes :) Now just to find out where that £650 I apparently saved has gone...... :bb:
  2. Enjoy your no smoking life. Gutted, I find your comment funny but want for everyone to feel ready to move forward at the right time for them. x
  3. got everything crossed for a good outcome! But superb avoidance of a trigger there Laura, really pleased you coped without smoking, it absolutely can be done and each time we do it, we become stronger I think. xx
  4. Congrats on the job, poor you on the stinky/annoying ones and their triggers. Fingers crossed tomorrow is better for you. x
  5. I missed the add ons. I think we all feel things differently. who knows why? No crutch, chemicals working their way out of our system etc, but it happens to us all. I'm not comfortable with it either, it feels a bit random, but I've learnt it is what it is and it seems to pass quicker if I just let myself cry it out for that moment ya know. I have no advice on relationships. I'm pretty pants at them tbh lol. So i think it's good you recognise things don't feel right and maybe you can set about filling in a bit more time in a reliable way (ya know regular plans) so there are things to focus on?? Like girls wine/tea night tuesdays, after work drink thursday...that sort of thing? Just an idea. xx
  6. Really pleased Trish. I see you in the photo's and you're too pretty too ruin your face and body with smoking! Right with you!! So you know Amy has also quit today as well, in case you guys can support each other too. xx
  7. I love pie mash and liquor, I'm in on this party!! Congrats sharon and thanks for all you do and the support you offer. Brilliant work my friend. xx
  8. Really pleased for you and your 7 months, massive congrats my friend!! x
  9. 10 months is fabulous work darling :) Massive congrats. xx
  10. Has it gone for you now sweetie? I have no idea what you do tbh, I just kept posting on anything and everything when I felt like that. Blogs, posts, reading whyquit.com. I hated that the occasional ones lasted for ages and made me cry...but if you face these tough ones down it makes you trust that you will hold on every crave - that in itself starts to weaken their hold on you I think. It's ok to feel rubbish, it's not ok to smoke, it will pass I promise you and when it does you will be so relieved you held firm. x
  11. Wish I could take it for you, sending strength to my buddy for tomorrows quit day!! Smash it my lovely, smoking can't have you!!

  12. Had to come backto this. I checked my diary, day 8 gave me the biggest craves I'd faced. I think you did AMAZING and I completely understand the boredom aspect but you could really use with having something to take up your time. So pleased for you, bet facing that crave makes you sooo much stronger. I think the bigger the craves you face down the more you trust that your determination will hold. xx
  13. Can I wait a couple of days for mine, everyone is crook here!
  14. Brilliant job Pippa!! 10 months smoke free is just the start of a wonderful healthier/richer life for you. So pleasedfor you. xx

    Arguments!

Argument today, with my Mum. Waited for the trigger and it didn't happen!! I wondered if I would think about smoking .. actually what I thought is smoking won't help at all here and genuinely meant it. Broke a trigger!!! Sadly this just means there are too many arguments around me all the time :( but still chuffed this is not a trigger now.
  16. I am so pleased you held on. x
  17. That sounds rubbish. How you feeling now? I can't believe you've already been for a swim this time of a sunday though, good healthy work!!
  18. Some time to herself, or at least the option of it is priceless. x
  19. I needed that giggle this morning :)
  20. I see you've gone but in case you come back, you sit tight!! Run yourself a lovely bubble bath, or go for a walk, we never crave when we are doing physical exercise so get a fitness/yoga/whatever ya fancy program lined up for bad craves. other ideas, click your fingers, shout nope, nope shuffle, hard boiled sweet/candy, put on your music or music channel tv and bust a groove dancing. Do not smoke!! Certainly do not smoke for boredom!! Plan a new hobby that you can spend your no smoking money on. ((evelyn)) any time you feel like this wrap your arms around you and imagine it's us giving you a hug...and do not smoke. xx
  21. Utterly fabulous!! Feeling a bit tearful for you tbh, bet it's an amazing feeling to have that 1 week milestone. Now hold the "f" on lol. Brilliant work, massive congrats. xx
  22. Is being supportive a personality trait for you, or something related to friends here?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
