  1. 25 mins yoga and 6 minutes exercise bike, hurting a bit from proper pilates yesterday lol.
  2. Wonderful!! Utterly chuffed tobits for you. 2 is a big old landmark, but your focused quit is pretty powerful in it's own right! Massive congrats, it's all about this quit, you've got this Sandy. xx
  3. 4
  4. Sweetie that sounds like a bad day, of which I don't have any advice to offer you. But yes I will send strength and prayers for you, that I can do. I can also tell you if you just get past the smoking thoughts minute by minute if you need too, they will pass. IT ALWAYS PASSES and what you're left with is sweet freedom and a quit that's intact. xx
  5. Aww sounds pants Susana. However it's ok to want a "bloody" cigarette but not ok to HAVE a bloody cigarette. You may also be grumpy about it from time to time, as long as you don't smoke. Soon you won't want at all, just sit tight and this too will pass. Anyone with an illness would not want you to stop your life or not acknowledge how you are because of them. I tend to favour bandits suggestion of she probably thinks you shouldn't too. Get your feelings out of you, they are healthier out there in the ether then bottled up like a smoking volcano inside of you! xx
  6. Fast days should be 600 calories. Normal days should be in the 1400 region, higher on the days you exercise according to the fitness page the guys refer too. I used to do shakes and salad on fast days and eat normal the rest of the week and still lost 1lb every other week. Just can't do the fasting anymore now but get your calories slightly higher or you'll be unwell. xx
  7. Congrats :) and NOPE
  8. Agree with Action's treat suggestion, especially if times have felt hard work and you get through them. Good work at getting through some stress and not reaching for the dreaded cig. It really never did help us, although we convinced ourselves it did at the time. Non smokers function much better with stress as they don't need to break to puff. The brain looks at the problem rather than creating a need for more drugs. It does mean you will sometimes need to buy yourself some time and deep breaths or walking were really helpful to many before you. xx
  9. xx
  10. Doreen I am so so happy for you. I am delighted you have your foot, and that you found a new level of energy and finances. Selfishly I'm also happy you've been on the board helping and supporting others and I. Big congratulations on your 1 year celebration. xx
  11. Happy birthday Vic, hope it's a good one. x
  12. No kiddo's (access night) so I've put club classics on and busting some terrible moves :) Might have to find a way to go out dancing in the next couple of weeks and scare some peoples :)

  14. 20 minute power walk, followed by 20 minutes core pilates (ironically without weights) and into hoovering and mopping the kitchen and lounge.
  15. Lol Pippa, zombie apocolypse en route :) Thanks for pilates info, this dvd always uses weights (which is fine) but I didn't think it was standard to do so. x
  16. Yesterday 20 minutes pilates, 5 mins exercise bike. Does anyone know is pilates always with weights?
  17. Will light a candle and send healing strength. x

  22. Lol, no but I will be waif like and happier - therefore there will be more space on the swearing thread?! ;) Bandit, all sorted :) Actually super easy to work! And damn, I eat too many calories. No wonder I'm getting lardy :( Work in progress now.
  23. Children I have no idea, they rarely bother me (it's grown ups I don't like, kids are normally ok). Re smokers tell them! This morning I'm getting cash out of the machine and suddenly I'm surrounded by smoke - so I simply turned and said some personal space away from your smoke would be great thanks. He stepped back (not far enough but better). I think we try and repress too much generally. Maybe you could ask to move table further away from the noisy family next time?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
