  1. Lol. I NEED tea more then I need coffee tho. An I can't drink coffee in the morning, it's all too much. So I wake and I've done 4/5 cups of tea in an hour before I really notice the world and realize that's a bit much. Mornings are not my thing.
  2. You broke a man with tea - nice work. Frozen, we understand, things will never be the same again... and there's the frozen party coming in september, goody goody! But in a lucky twist of fate the entertainer booked at the time I was about to pay announced they no longer did the singalong with frozen....dear god I felt relief the likes of which I never have before. Magician now booked :) Raspberry tea is a win peoples...Happy times :) Sorry about showing off but my shopping genuinely just got delivered :)

  4. Decaf tea tastes funny...like someone added washing up liquid or something. It was tetley tho...could try another brand I guess.
  5. Lmao Missy DD, you crack me up. Ok, I shall more hesitantly try ginger tea, small sips - just in cases!! Frozen is getting beyond a joke here too. I find myself thinking things like I don't even f ing like snow! I'm now considering buying my Mum a DVD player for her lounge next door. She gets bored and they could keep her company.... Pippa - Mint makes it taste better? I have mint in the garden...are you sure sure?? Is this like the person who told me it was an acquired taste? I have much love for you but I am already a tad bitter...shouldn't mess with an English girl where tea is concerned lol. Action Raspberry brewing, will report back. Having dug out the box it's called Fruit Fantasy Selection by London Fruit & Herb Company. I actually laugh/snorted accidently reading that...who thinks up the names... There's no fantasy here, I'm having a cuppa waiting for me shopping to arrive...

  7. Wow, what'd I do?? Me like this  nah, not from me. I love you guys too much
  8. Action, Made me giggle herbal tea as oppose to non herbal tea?? - clarification received lol.
  9. Action Holland and Barrett do a London range and it's mixed tea bags, blueberry came in that...think it has raspberry in actually so I will try it in a minute. No to peppermint, lovely taste but makes me tired...I actually drink it and recommend to others when insomnia strikes :) Tracey I have decided not to drink tripe anymore. I'm all for a bit of fixing up but it's really nasty to actually drink the rank stuff. Have rosemary in the garden so will have a go at that this avo, thanks. I make remedies with the herbs and they always taste a bit interesting so not sure how the tea will fare lol. But hey, it's right outside my back door so I'm willing to try.
  10. Feeling happy :) Only 3 more days till the babies are home. 3 1/2 lbs lost in two weeks. Most peaceful life has felt in months, happy times :)

Why thank you kind sir. Won't lie, did a little victory dance off the scales this morning haha

  11. I'm very English, we do tea but I also like coffee, you know the whole Europe "be cosmopolitan" thing :) So I would do tea in the morning and coffee in the avo, perfect! Then I quit and spent a couple of months bouncing off the walls lol. Transpires 20 cups a day is not ok. Fine I thought, I can drink those crazy teas. I was assured Green Tea was an acquired taste and I would come to love it... love no less, lofty claims but I tried. It's supposedly very good for you too so a double win I believed. Tastes utterly rank so tried it with Lemon...not as rank but not really palatable. 3 months of my life is wasted of drinking this tripe every day now trying to acquire the taste and I think it's time to do a Frozen and just let it go. I need help with tea that is good for you... not normal tea, I have this covered :) So I don't like the mixed ones which seem to have a bit of everything in it. Plus I don't trust them really, why call a tea "detox"...what, like, even if I eat a burger straight after?? I tried a couple and they were super potent! Anything with liquorice or aniseed in were also too strong even though I like those things. I do actually quite like Blueberry Tea the best so far (weird, don't like actual blueberries) and a Lemon and Lime one. What other plain ish or just straightforward flavours have people tried and liked? My caffeine levels are still far too high but I love hot drinks (also drink plain water). Sorry, long! Ideas?

  13. Yeah, my cough worried me silly too Naynay. Pleased we're done now and can move forward. x
  14. Hi, Great you found us then :) I do think support from people who have "been there" is a good thing. We understand and like you say, can also show it can be done. It can feel tough in the early days, I think as important though - it also feels exciting and easier then we thought sometimes too. Every quit is a little different but you have some who were just ready and the quit was easy enough and some who just held on because they didn't want to be a smoker anymore, I'm that one! In the end, it's about not thinking too far ahead. Taking one day, sometimes one minute at a time. Iwas told the only rule s don't put something in your mouth and set fire to it when I first joined the forum. That made sense and was easy enough I could follow it! The NOPE helped too which stands for Not One Puff Ever, for today - someone else added that last bit of not today and it helps to think like that. We've all been told quitting is hard, so don't think of that, just simply wake each day and say Nope, not today and just deal with that one day and all it involves. The quit then takes care of itself. Goodness I've talked a lot lol. Welcome! Today is the start of your new life!!! xx
  15. Preaching to the converted ;) No harm in looking, absolutely. I love a nice bum myself. Can't believe I never thought to look for a class with a male teacher *shakes head*. The guy who does combat cardio on the fitness channel is a bit of alright tho. Made me mis step a couple of times. I definately think you need more Yoga in your life :)
  16. And I get called dirty?!? Miss Sue and Miss Doreen :o Shocked and stunned I am :) Gonna have to start "doing an Action" an checking the threads carefully henceforth haha
  17. The yoga teacher is a guy? That's unusual Doreen are you going perving at the men? (I probably would if they were toned but shhh) haha
  18. Good news he is feeling better. Chest infections are scary to have I'm sure but also very scary to watch. So genuinely, my thoughts are with you both. Go gently with your beautiful self too Doreen and I hope another decent night of sleep for you both, it always seems to take two nights to catch up. Sending gentle support vibes to you. xx
  19. Did you finally get some rest Doreen? How's Tony when you saw him yesterday, do they know why he feels worse yet or still testing? In my thoughts. xx

  22. Silly body clock and natural light. I don't want to wake up pre 7am every day when there's no kidlets here.

  24. Hanging around is no fun, nor is starving yourself. I'm sure the mood is a combo of pains/meds/feeling stuck/frustration etc. Really hard to look for positives and tell me to go forth if ya like, but what about using the time productively? I'm sure it was a hospital stay once where I first started to meditate, or practice, I was naf to start with lol. Another thing is reading, ask someone to bring you a decent book in. Feel for you hun. Is the pain better and are you eating solid food yet? x

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
