  4. Look right here sweets, you are quit - you done it already! Don't punish yourself now, distract and tomorrow when we are wineless we can chat. Love you lady, can you go sleep it off and wake up still quit tomoz? x
  5. Your words: I am at that stage in my quit where physical cravings are remitting, or I could even say non-existent, really, but I´ve been here before and I have failed before, so I´m like a chameleon... looking here, looking there... looking for handles and looking for dangers... I´ve been looking at smokers. My smoking friends, for instance. People are either smokers, or non-smokers. Non-smokers are easy to define. I have it written on my mirror with blue eyeliner: " Non-smokers do not smoke. Not one. Not ever" NOT EVER SUS. You got this darlin. x
  6. Aww, ok hugs and sympathy...one of those "this has festered"! You should have talked sooner but talking now. So talk baby girl. Can we guide you back home? You did SOOO well and you've been so strong. You are nailing this quit, you clawed some days - sure - but overall you have faced so many tough times and come out on top. Have a bit more faith in yourself. xx

  17. Hi and welcome!! And congrats on a month, sounds like a fairly hard fought for quit from what you're describing. Once your done on the intro maybe post on the main board with your particular feelings and if we can't advise anything different at least we can offer you some solace and empathy? Once you feel comfortable of course :) In the meantime, even if it was by the seat of ya pants you're doing it!! One day at a time, one step at a time. x
  18. What's the bravest moment of your life so far? Have you fallen over in your heels again since your early quit :) ?
  19. Atta girl!! No more testing honey, addiction is a biatch, moving swiftly on! Loves to you. xx
  20. Aww an ex told me years later it was always you for me growing up, I'll just tell you once more how much I love you and always will. It matters as he was killed a couple of years later and I'm so pleased on line gave a chance to catch up as he had moved to Canada :) Chris always opens a text to me with "hey beautiful" and it always melts me. He also says he "fancies the ass off me" which is not cute lol, but he knows I panic and need re-assurance that I look ok and that's why he does it. He's a pretty smart guy :) I was told I have a beautiful soul on here - I think that beats all previous compliments, I did the biggest smile when I saw that. I want to add a compliment of my own to the mix.... I love how each and every one here can make me smile and feel supported. xx
  21. Capitals NOPE from me.
  22. Wow, you did really well then! Good job passing the smoking/drinking test.
  23. The chantix did have side effects for sure. Like you I felt like I needed a "crutch" if you will. I don't regret taking it with all it's side effects, I'd do it again if I needed too. Where I am today was worth a few weeks of feeling a bit barmy :) That said I totally understand and endorse herbal remedies (totally I make them from my garden so do agree0 just the lack of info worried me when I wanted to quit so desperately! Either way if you try can you feed back to here as I'd be interested for other people I try and help. 6 days was a good start though! We call them practice quits here, or one guy did and I'm totally stealing it haha. I think to steal another quote quitting is a journey, not a place. You will go through some stuff and staying close to a forum will help as much as any other crutch you choose to use as people have been exactly where you are at that point. Look forward to hearing your plan when you've thought it through. x
  24. Hi Zelda, Massive congrats on your wonderful news. I am very sorry for the sad and lonely place you must of ended up as a hurt 16 years old. I won't skirt past it because it's not my way. Gentle hugs for what was and totally understanding your need to protect this baby/bean. So: You're quitting for the baby. Absolutely to be commended for sure! However I'm thinking we need to shift this quit to the mama too :) After all, bean is now in protection, there is no doubt of that... so we can support you Zelda. Could you start by asking yourself what benefits you have seen so far? Has there been any? At 18 days I think the cough had gone at least? If you let it your brain won't give you all the bad sides and we can maybe explore some of the good sides together. So you feel a bit more in balance about your quit? Either way massive congrats on your 18 days, that's absolutely fab!! xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
