With you jackie, big fat NOPE from me,mainly as I ate 3 sausage rolls :) Nope and oink! -
Shattered now but had a great day with the kids!! Apparently you can't have winners in schools anymore (?! ) but I think ours was the best!! We even weaved skinny twigs to make a roof! Found a log to be a sofa, built (not lit obviously) a fire with stones around to be bed warmers (good suggestion). So much fun, may well take my kids back there seperately :)

I'm with Chrys, big groups and I'm pretty uncomfy. Like you, used smoking as a crutch to excuse myself. Now I just refill my drink and there's a strong possibility people think I have a bladder problem haha, I excuse myself to go to the toilet now. Take a breather (hope for pot pourri) and go back. My other trick is making myself an indespensible sub host, like taking over the drinks or washing up so I have something to do. x

Sadly camera is knackered and the school have rules about photographing the kids :( I can't wait though and will let you know how my, oh I mean my teams, winning goes ;) x

Best place in the world I've been...cyprus was a close 2nd but it's all about manly! Good work. Not smoking can feel tough laura, but you get there one step at a time. The freedom both physically and mentally, not to mention financially for these trips is so worth the mental discomfort! This foot that foot this foot that foot. Don't think long term, don't over think. Each situation, deal as it comes. Just for today. And you'll be golden I promise!!

Crazy name! Not single really, parent singularly but have a lucky fella :) Simple...jury's out??

Need your best tips!! Signed myself up to the best sounding school trip EVER, going to the woods, seperating into teams and have build a base/den!!! Boring school spiel "build shelters out of natural materials like the early hunter-gatherer tribes had to do" Me, I'm building a base, like when I was a kid - never have I been so over enthused about a school trip, get in!! So, tips for the best base build ideas?? Teepee shape or over a tree branch triangle type shape. It's so not about the kids anymore, I wanna relive my youth haha! x

Spending the night in the ER with my daughter
Still winning replied to BonnieJ's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
Awww Bonnie, bless you and your daughter, always impossible to accept we cannot fix our babies. What is normal for a surgeon and we'd accept for ourselves is not so for a child. So no wonder the thought came to you, I am so pleased it left again knowing you can't leave her alone. They always want us close no matter what age. Sending healing and strength for you both my love!! Please know venting here is perfectly ok, get it out rather then bottle it up. Have you spoken to the actual surgeon, quite often they can really put our minds at rest that we are putting a baby in capable hands. I think depending on personality of course, the more informed you are the more in control and therefore calmer you get. Don't panic that you reflex thought that hun, it's kinda a knee jerk reaction and simply a trigger you haven't faced before. Once you have it will be done and dusted, don't give it head space - focus on your lovely baby as I know you will be xx -
Go across to Manly as well when in Sydney. Beautiful and wonderful place. x

Jac, Crying with you now. So sad and I'm so very sorry my friend. Agree our pets sit and wait patiently for the time we can be together again. xx -
Haha, pleased to see I'm not the only grown up who still thinks tree climbing is plausible!

Wow, you are sucha beautiful person to take that on. I don't doubt for one moment it wasn't in the life plan but giving a child the best start is so worthwhile. Increible kudos to you. The chores can wait, shhhh but sometimes I leave toothpaste on the sink for like 4 days...wash it for the weekend...got babies to play with :) All too soon they are at school all day and no need to nag as you have nothing but time. Go treat yourself too, us mama's and grnadmama's need to feel good and then we can better look after everyone else. Swear thread, big win!! Ignoring ignorant people with dumb opinions, also a big win! I think you are double fabulous now and who cares about the smoking thought reflex, just a knee jerk reaction, only a worry if you snuggle up with those thoughts and give them time! Last week I looked for my cigs before leaving the house for a second, thought whoa, where did that come from - decided to laugh and brush it off. Thoughts are not instructions to us, don't let it worry you, it happens and we can just move straight past it. xx
-
Ava and Wiley, sorry for your loss's. I wonder why a lot of us thought we could beat it when we'd already seen it in action :( xx
-
haapy anni :) nope.
-
Marti - short for Martine, which I always think conjurs up an image I can't do of european, coffee swilling elegance - the reality is a cockney chick who totally thinks init is an actual word! I have a ridiculous double barrell surname too which was more to do with a "posh wannabe" ex husband then me. Picture from last May I think, christening and mums birthday party.

good on you, you'll be hooked on fitness pal (and exercise) in no time! x
-
nope. x

Thanks, even the little one is morphing into me looks wise now too (weirdly looked more like my sisters mixed with her own dad?), the oldest one is a mirror of me as a kid haha. Yeah put together a decent costume as it can double up on world book day :) No wand tho, maybe I should get one. Nice to just haveit all done and dusted now to be honest!
