  4. I have a STIHL chain saw and it's been great for cutting small stuff around my place. Don't use it much but it's ready to go when ever I need it :)
  5. Wow - works pretty good from the look of your photos! What you gonna do with all that cleared land?
  6. Going for a victory lap :P
  7. YES :D So happy you came back to us! You be strong now. You can do this. If I can come as far as I have, anyone can. You just have to really want it. Keep checking in with us and stay committed!! The first while is the worst of it while you're brain is trying to reprogram to being a non smoker. It does get easier though. Hard to notice day to day but it does happen slowly.
  8. 20 Oh yeah Me & BOO !!
  9. 18 come on ..............
  10. I must say, I have to dig really deep some days just to continue on with my quit. I have smoked as long or longer than anyone here and I have never tried to quit before. I read about all the people that have multiple quit attempts and are still struggling and that scares me a little and makes me wonder if I really have it in me to quit for good on my first try. I don't want to ever go through this again. Once is enough for me thanks very much. I need to do this the first time or it just won't happen. I'll be f***en pi**ed off if this doesn't happen for me but at the same time, I know it's totally up to me to make it happen and god dammit, it WILL happen  You just watch me!! (Rant Over)
  11. 16 Lets go!!
  12. Yes .................... 14
  13. Thanks Boo 12 here we go.
  14. Nancy - GO TO BED!! 10
  15. Did you know that in Barbados, it's illegal to wear anything on your body that has a camouflage pattern? This may not be knowledge or wisdom but it's a little know fact none-the-less!
  16. Oh oh ..... 10
  17. 10 Here we go :)
  18. 8 again :P
  19. OK & Yes, I will let you know if we book into Aruba for Oct. 2017 (I'm hoping we will be able to) :) You will not be disappointed with Aruba, although Tenerife looks lovely too! You will at the very least be guaranteed great weather and beautiful Caribbean surroundings. Enjoy!!
  20. 8 (hahahaha) go sticks go!!
  21. Wait Joe, My mistake that my post made it look like -4. That was really + 4 so your post is +5 and now; I'm making it +6. We got this :D
  22. Generally speaking, the Riu chain of hotels are all excellent no matter where they are located. The Riu Palace Hotels are their top tier places but the one you mention Riu Antillas will be excellent as well. We did a Riu Palace place in Jamaica a few years ago and it was superb. That Riu place would likely be an all inclusive package though. Going All-in or B&B style is really a matter of personal choice. If you want to get out and about and be adventurous then the B&B may be better. If you want to do the pool/beach thing mostly then all-inclusive is best particularly if you like to enjoy some beverages often :) On some of the Caribbean Islands, eating and drinking can be a bit pricy as pretty much everything is imported. Doing the B&B thing you can choose to buy groceries and make some of your own meals and have drinks on hand to cut down on expenses. The wife and I prefer to just do either the all-inclusive land vacations and we also do a lot of cruises. Those are a whole other story - lol. It's all good. Beats the wet & cold :P
  23. OK - 4 All I need now is some other sticks to help me win this thing before morning. Not holding my breath though .............
  24. Jeez .... you still awake?? 4
  25. Haha .... you sound like my wife. She's a travel agent and every April they get a deal on various vacation packages. One of the spots is Aruba, which sells out almost immediately. She is waiting for the sale to come around this April so she can book us. The travel time would also be October. Maybe I'll see you there :D And yes, Aruba as well as Barbados almost never go "on sale". They are two of the top Caribbean destinations because of the weather and beaches they both enjoy. The heat in Aruba is a dry heat so not as bad as if it was humid. The trade winds are always present indeed but without them, the heat would be an issue. If you're going in Oct. hopefully you still have a bit of colour from the summer at home ;)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
