  8. Have stopped there a couple of times on cruise vacations but never for more than a day so yeah, will be nice to get to explore a little and the weather there is always great no matter what time of year you go. Beautiful beaches too. And yes, looking forward to traveling as a "non-smoker|". So much more relaxing :)

  11. The Mrs. got her annual "agent special offer" deal newsletter today from one of the travel wholesalers and booked us into the Riu Palace Aruba for a week in October on a killer deal. Can't wait!! Will be a nice treat to look forward to. It will also be the first time I have traveled as a non-smoker. No more getting anxious to arrive at destination so I can have a smoke.

  13. Who are these people you're all talking about? I don't recognize any of these names that are coming up. I'm assuming these people were all men and Doreen banned them so the chicks could finally start winning at Chicks or Sticks :P
  14. Keeping busy and/or sleeping are both very important during that early part of your quit. Keeps you're mind off the urge to smoke. Stay strong Pumpkin and carry on :)

  17. I was wondering where you had got to. Sorry you've had a bad experience with it. I have heard that some people do and other's don't. Like all things, it works for some and not for others. I hope you start feeling better soon and stick with your quit Nat. Please check in with us & let us know how you're doing :)

  21. Welcome to the Train RM23. Grab a seat and join us for a ride to freedom :) With 19 days under your belt, you've go a really good start on your quit! For me, it was tough for pretty much the first full month then started getting better and now at 2 and a half months, things are pretty good. Just maintaining my quit and using all the tools I have developed along the way. Urge to smoke is still that at times but it is weaker then early on and I can brush those thoughts aside more quickly now. It sure does get better all the time. Stay with us and participate as much as you can. Looking forward to following your journey :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
