  3. -1 This is getting serious now
  4. Hi Pumpkin! You're doing great with your quit. Yes, the interrupted sleep is pretty common and will work it way out eventually. Different for all of us and you are correct. Better a change in sleep patterns for a little while then smoking! You are getting through the toughest part of your quit now so just keep focused and moving forward with your commitment not to smoke. We are all here to support you and cheer you on :)
  5. -6 We're getting nowhere fast in this game. What is it now? 2 Days?
  6. ^^^ Oddly enough, or not; I'm as excited about traveling as a non-smoker as I am about going on this vacation. I guess that's a good thing :)
  7. Welcome aboard the Quit Train Parsley :) Hope your weekend away goes well for you. I think it will help being away from your normal routine initially. It sounds like you really have done some thinking about this quitting thing and have the proper perspective on it now. Mindset will make a huge difference in being successful. As long as you want to stay quit more than you want to smoke, you'll be fine. Yes, it's tough and quite uncomfortable for the first while but just power through that and you will begin to realize the benefits of no longer smoking, and they're great!! As others have said, come here often and participate with us. As Pixel said, having a support group like this will make a real positive difference in making your quit successful. It can also be a lot of fun too :) I look forward to seeing you around the board!

  9. Bottom line is; whenever you go "under the knife" being a non-smoker will mean you will heal quicker with less chance of post-op infections etc. This will be a bonus of your decision to quit smoking :) I had gum surgery & bone grafting done a few years ago. It wasn't that bad when it actually happened. It was more the apprehension before hand that was the worst. Well. that and I couldn't eat decent food for a few days :)
  10. -6 I'm creating more sticks in my lab tonight. We should be winning soon :)

  14. I will add just over 2,000 cigs to this bonfire for Steve and others taken too early due to this addiction.
  15. -2 Morning! Sorry to burst your bubble but NO chick win today D :)
  16. Wow ExTex! That's some quit you have going there. 1/4 year now! That's awesome and only going to get better and better. Hope you're enjoying the benefits of your quit and make sure you take time to celebrate your fantastic accomplishment :)

  18. Have stopped there a couple of times on cruise vacations but never for more than a day so yeah, will be nice to get to explore a little and the weather there is always great no matter what time of year you go. Beautiful beaches too. And yes, looking forward to traveling as a "non-smoker|". So much more relaxing :)

  20. -2 Yup :)
  21. The Mrs. got her annual "agent special offer" deal newsletter today from one of the travel wholesalers and booked us into the Riu Palace Aruba for a week in October on a killer deal. Can't wait!! Will be a nice treat to look forward to. It will also be the first time I have traveled as a non-smoker. No more getting anxious to arrive at destination so I can have a smoke.

  23. Who are these people you're all talking about? I don't recognize any of these names that are coming up. I'm assuming these people were all men and Doreen banned them so the chicks could finally start winning at Chicks or Sticks :P

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
